NAD's Millwall Player of the Year: Jordan Archer

MILLWALL’S Jordan Archer has been named NewsAtDen’s Player of the Year for 2015-16.

Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Archer, 23, made his senior competitive debut against Barnet in the League Cup in August before his league debut for the Lions at Scunthorpe when he kept a clean sheet.

Archer has played 46 times this season, keeping 20 clean sheets, and quickly became popular with Millwall fans for his speed, agility, ability under crosses and his capacity for producing impossible saves. One effort in the 3-0 win over Peterborough in February, when he had to leap to head Mark Beevers’ over-hit back-pass off the line, quickly went viral on the Internet.

He came out on top in the running for Player of the Year based on an average score of 7.40 in NewsAtDen’s player-rating system over the season.
