NAD's Millwall Young Player of the Year: Ben Thompson

MILLWALL'S Ben Thompson has been named NewsAtDen’s Young Player of the Year for 2015-16.

The 20-year-old midfielder has made 33 appearances so this season, but has started the last 15 consecutive games since the 3-0 win over Peterborough in February to help Millwall consolidate their place in the League One top six and reach the play-offs.

The Lions have lost just two of those 15 games and Thompson has become a favourite with fans for his all-action displays, commitment and non-stop running.

Thompson won NewsAtDen’s Goal of the Season – as voted for by fans – for his strike in the 3-1 win against Shrewsbury in March.

He came out on top in the running for Young Player of the Year based on an average score of 7.42 in NewsAtDen’s player-rating system over the season.
