MILLWALL’S Tony Craig has thanked the club after they handed him a testimonial against Brentford.
Craig joined Millwall last summer for the fourth time in his career after three seasons with the Bees. The 31-year-old defender has played 254 games for the Lions, featuring in two League One play-off campaigns in 2009 and 2010.
Millwall’s club captain was also part of the Brentford squad in the League One play-offs in 2013 and the Championship battle to reach the Premier League last season, and he admitted he is looking forward to a “special” day.
Craig told the club’s website: "Thinking about having a testimonial gives me goosebumps having been a supporter sitting in the Cold Blow Lane end as a youngster.
"I've enjoyed every single moment of my time here and to get a testimonial as a fan and a player who grew up at the club is a dream.
"It will be a special day for my family, who have been there through thick and thin with me. I can't wait for it."
Craig will make a donation from the proceeds of the July 30 fixture to Headley Court, the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Surrey.
