JOHN Marquis came on as a second-half substitute to help Northampton Town edge closer to promotion to League One.
The Cobblers stretched their unbeaten run to 18 league games after a Ricky Holmes double helped them claim a 2-2 draw at home to Notts County. They are now 14 points clear of second-placed Oxford United.
Northampton need just three more points with six games remaining to ensure they will be playing in the third tier next season.
