LEE Martin came up against Paris Cowan-Hall’s Wycombe Wanderers in in League Two on Saturday – and helped Northampton set a new club record of nine successive league victories.
Danny Rose’s goal in the 63rd minute also ensured Martin has been on the winning side in each of his six games for the Cobblers since joining on loan from Millwall.
Cowan-Hall was injured for the clash as Wycombe dropped out of the top seven and Northampton went ten points clear of Plymouth in second.
In the National League, Alfie Pavey came on as a 69th-minute substitute as Aldershot slumped to a 3-2 defeat at Gateshead.
There was no luck either for Noah Chesmain whose Welling side lost 2-0 at home to Wrexham.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Tom King’s debut for Braintree Town was delayed as their game at Barrow was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
