MILLWALL boss Neil Harris has some tricky selection decisions to make ahead of Scunthorpe’s visit to The Den on Tuesday night.
Mark Beevers is back from suspension and Carlos Edwards is fully fit after his hamstring problem, while Shane Ferguson and Joe Martin are vying for the left-back spot.
Shaun Williams starts his two-match ban after he picked up his 10th yellow card of the season, for time-wasting in the 1-0 win at Rochdale.
The Lions are back at The Den after three successive away wins, and Harris could decide on a more attacking approach by starting Aiden O’Brien and switching Ed Upson, who is enjoying his best form of the season, to central midfield in place of Williams.
Millwall were 16 points off the automatic promotion places when they lost 2-1 at Barnsley on January 2, the last time they suffered a defeat in the league. But five wins in their last six games has halved that deficit and they could move to within five points of Gillingham with a win over the Iron.
Scunthorpe have won three successive games under caretaker manager Nicky Daws since they sacked Mark Robins after a 5-0 defeat to Blackpool.
Despite having yet to appoint a manager they have been busy in the transfer market recently, signing Dominic Vose from Wrexham, and Jim O’Brien and Greg Luer on loan from Coventry and Hull, respectively. Kevin van Veen, who played in the 0-0 draw with Millwall earlier in the season, has joined SC Cambuur Leeuwarden on loan. Defender Niall Canavan has moved to League One rivals Rochdale for a month.
