Millwall will be taking almost 1,500 fans to the Kassam Stadium for the second leg of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area final against Oxford next Tuesday.

The 1,497 ticket allocation was quickly sold out with the Lions potentially just 90 minutes away from the overall final at Wembley in April.

Millwall go into the clash as underdogs having lost 2-0 to Michael Appleton’s side in the first leg on January 14.

But Neil Harris’ side have won nine of their sixteen games on the road this season and defender Mark Beevers is adamant they can rescue the tie.

“We’ve gone away from home plenty of times this season and got results that people haven’t expected us to get,” Beevers said.

“The one that springs to mind is the Sheffield United result. I don’t think people expected us to get much from there but we went up there and put in a solid performance.

“We’ve got the firepower up top that will get us goals and even from the game at home against Oxford we created enough chances to have taken something from the game, or at least get level.

“We back ourselves to create some chances down there. We’ve been pretty solid the last few games and if we can maintain that and leave it to the boys up top we should be okay.”
