ALFIE Pavey scored his second goal in two games since his loan move from Millwall as Aldershot won 2-0 at Macclesfield in the National League on Saturday.

Pavey, 20, gave his side the lead in the 19th minute with a header from Dan Walker’s cross as Aldershot moved up to 14th in the table.

Paris Cowan-Hall came on as a 57th minute sub for Wycombe after Millwall confirmed his loan on Saturday afternoon, but Jay Simpson shot Leyton Orient ahead in the 67th minute before Calaum Jahraldo-Martin scored a minute from time to ensure former West Ham midfielder Kevin Nolan began his managerial career with a win.

Lee Martin helped Northampton to a 3-1 win over Morecambe, a result that put the Cobblers two points clear at the top of League Two.

Nineteen year-old defender Christian Mbulu, meanwhile, made his debut for Canvey Island in the Isthmian League Premier Division following his month-long switch last week, but his new side lost 3-1 to Lewes.
