ALFIE Pavey netted the first goal of his senior professional career when he scored on his debut in Aldershot Town’s 3-1 win over Chester on Saturday.
The 20-year-old centre-forward put his new side 2-0 up in the 52nd minute as Aldershot won for just the second time in 14 National League fixtures.
Pavey started the game and was also booked before being substituted late on.
His manager Barry Smith was pleased with his performance, telling the BBC: "Alfie Pavey had a good debut and it's up to him to continue that. You do get that bit of extra energy from the first game you play because you've come to a new club and you want to do well.
“It's about maintaining the standard and the fans now know the standards he showed today."
It was the perfect start to Pavey's Shots career after he joined them on a one-month loan last week.
