NEIL Harris says the club could begin talks with a number of players whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the season in the coming weeks.
Those players include the likes of Steve Morison, Carlos Edwards and Joe Martin, who have all been regulars in Harris’ first team this season.
However, Harris said any new deals will likely not be agreed until early in the New Year.
“There are a lot of decisions to be made but they are not going to be made before Christmas, it’ll be going into January or February time,” the Millwall boss explained.
“If those players are playing regularly and well you’d like to continue that at the football club. There are lots of things to consider and over the next few weeks we’ll have initial conversations with players.”
Current captain Morison, meanwhile, says he isn’t thinking about extending his current contract at the moment as he concentrates on leading the side.
“That’s up to the club,” he said. “It’s usually January or February when these things get sorted and we’ll see what happens then.
“No one has said anything to me yet so I’ll just keep plugging away and hopefully do enough to earn myself another contract.”
