I'm disappointed the home form continues. I left the den asking how poor does a player need tone for Harris to drop. Morrison has full games doesn't score for last few and still gets starts why. Fred looked totally lazy to track back and win a ball and as for going forward teams have worked him out I trick pony but will improve in time. Tony Craig a very quiet captain to slow for left back and should have gone off not beavers bad managerial decisions Paris Cohen hall must be given games. It's only one game. We can bounce back. But only if Harris picks and plays the right team next game around. Obrien drops to deep needs to stay upfront he needs to play one position. Southend was poor a game we could of won.

      @dave666:
Morison, although he hasnt scored many has still been our best forward overall this season, he talks a lot to the youngsters and does help create things, ive seen every game this season and he is definately not one who deserves to be dropped. You are right about Fred and craig. Both need a rest. As for obrien, that's his job mate, he is supposed to be a forward/attacking midfielder who comes deep to help link up play, he said so himself on lions live the other night. Poor performance overall from the boys yesterday.

@82wall: Morrison is good in the air and holds the ball upwell but for me but didn't look a threat. Obrien showed what he could do in and around the box why not play him there. It's not all doom and gloom like some would suggest. I just left feeling. That was a game we was capable of winning if we had eleven players on the pitch all trying. Why when we play away do we play the ball on the ground as I've seen all season. BUT when we play at the den its long ball s***. It baffles me. There are many more gamesto go but there was very little quality yesterday. We can't win them all I know. But at least try and some players clearly didn't

I know what you mean, as a team we looked toothless yesterday there was no quality, our crossing was awful, and we didn't create a lot. I did honestly think though that Morison did ok. I agree with you about the style of play, we seem to panic at home and try to get the ball forward too quickly at times, but away, we take our time, pass and move and look a much better side. I really believe that it's a mental block the players have. Harris has started getting the players to the den at 11am on a match day, they then leave on a coach together and come back about half 1. That can only be to re create the feel of an away game. Which is not good. We really need to go 1 up at home because soon as we go behind, it's game over and the away team just take the p***. We must remember though this is a learning season for everyone involved, and we should expect to be around mid table(where we are right now) by the end of the season.

@82wall: well let's see what happens Saturday. And see what Harris and our team have learned after this performance I would like to see pch instead of Fred for me and tc rested and Ferguson on at left back. But I'm sure it will be wholesale changes. Instead of dropping the poor performers avoiding the bigger picture.

it is not a mental block it is an ability and technical thing - At Home we have to force the game and we simply haven't got players who can do that . No midfielder who can get in dangerous scoring positions - Too one-dimensional . For all the talk about Port Vale - one corner and one penalty. We do not have the craft to open teams up . When will people realise this ? The current squad is not good enough. I am saying this for the 11,000th time and still we do not act. WE HAVE NO PACE UPFRONT AND NO MIDFIELD ATTACKER

            NEIL DO SOMETHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I blame harris - no tactical idea

@baz2262: I'm sure Harris wanted to win. He is a professional first and foremost.. No manager/player gets it right all the time. We will see Saturday. Abit harsh to say he's Southend that's why we lost

Didn't rate ARCHER for either of those goals, poor defending yes, but that's the stuff ford was letting in when opponents goalies seem to be keeping them out.

Really? He wasn't at blame for either of the goals yesterday, how the f*** is he meant to keep out a header in the 6 yard box, and another bullet header?

@bordersarebest0170: I think archer is a good keeper young and learning his trade all keepers make mistakes. But he has made more great saves than mistakes. His distribution could be better. But in my opinion he has earned his place

A strange laboured performance typified by fred i thought, he was so close to carlos instead of playing on the left backs shoulder, every time carlos broke fred stood and waited when he should have been pressing thirty yards further on, we just seemed paceless in our attacking. On the plus side williams looked like the player he did early last season. Must admit this sickening home run of the last 3 years is starting to get to me ,18 wins from 73 i think, i walked out thinking i must have better things to do with my life .

@sweetzer: That's just typical of a young player You will get a few good games, followed but a couple of poor ones. Let Martin or PCH start the next game. Martin works really hard and might be a better bet than PCH

@TIMCHIMES: I said I didn't. Think archer did well on either of the goals and you tell me I'm talking b*******. Well it's my opinion which I'm entitled to, you don't have to agree that's your prerogative . I've read your posts on here for a long time and always thought you talk total b*******, but I have had better manners in the past than to write it,

@bordersarebest0170: they were far from easy saves to make. Had he kept either out it would have been a fantastic save. s*** defending to blame rather than Archer IMO.

okay , not b******* then , just arrant nonsense -

no keeper in the world would have saved those goals and he has made excellent saves since coming in -

Forde is a joke keeper - like Craig is a joke left back - and upson is a joke left winger and none of our current forwards will be successful with a long ball game but people wonder why we cant win matches

it is because the personnel on the whole is too weak and we have no intelligent tactics at home -

changing to players like forde and marquis does not help - we need better players not worse ones

I said before that Fred was off the pace it's time he started a couple of games off the bench as I think he would be a real threat but wot we need is a midfielder that can boss the game & gets forward to support the strikers.

I am hoping this home form thing is just a mental block now. No doubt we will win at home and that could just be the turning point, I was hoping that the Peterborough result would have done it but Hay ho. I thought we were the better team overall the crowd were good but talking to the guys I sit with we all have a certain resignation at the moment that we play OK and the other team score. It seems our heads drop and it is a downwards spiral. We should and could have been one nil up maybe two before they scored if that had been the case we would have been the only winner but we have to chase the game the crowd get restless and players try to hard. I said at the beginning of the year I would be happy with a mid table no stress kind of year ready for a push next season, I have seen nothing so far that makes me think I we not get my wish.

@lennie the lion: it definitely seems a mental issue for the team and scoring first would relieve so much of the pressure.

That 0-4 to Coventry, how would that game have ended had Gregory scored that pen in the 5m?

Disturbing to see that comment so early in the season....Rochdale a must win, have we become that bad? We I guess the answer is probably yes when you don't win a home game on Saturday afternoon ko for over a year and your manager defends another inept performance on Saturday. As the old saying goes chaps.... you pay peanuts( or nothing in the case of most of our signings)...you get...well you know the rest and that's why we are where we are.
