2 shots on target at home , it's like Holloway has never left us . Get rid of our strikers and get people in that know where the net is before we slip into league 2 .

Can't blame the strikers they was the ones crossing the ball to midfielders. How does that going to work.

@block 28: Block morro playing out wide trying to win header's when he did no other player near enough to take advantage it's crazy, also i thought we made the pitch bigger to play football, not long ball,in the second half we got a bit better i liked what i saw in paris, thompson and archer cummings had a better game than he has been playing.that's about it really

@jim1222: a goalscorer like morro and greggs are more effective if they are facing the goal and running onto balls from the midfield..instead they spent most of the time in the air or creating the chances..so it no surpise in the last two games..it was two midfield players who went closet to scoring..williams at scumthorpe..with a neat pass from greggs.(but made a dogs dinner of it).and jimmy yesterday..if not for the deflection would have scored..nh sort it out and play the strikers where they most dangerous.then if they screw up..fans have a right to point the finger not before

@block 28: tactics block, just tactics. When we were turning out crap results in pre season and all we heard was how the team are fit, I made an observation that fitness is pre requisite and we should be working on tactics, set pieces, one touch fast football etc. I wish I could remember the ass wipe that said I didn't know what I was talking about and the 20 odd dislikers to my comment! We have started the season playing school boy hoof it football. The one outfield player we have (Fred) had already been found out and is practically marked our of the game. That in theory should leave a gap when we push forward but we park every one out on the wing and no one of any quality in the box. I don't want Harris to go but he is way out of his league and needs help from an experienced manager like warburton to learn the trade. We have some good players and whilst gregs can't score on a brothel at the moment, he like others work really hard. We need the ball on the ground, players finding the space forcing the opponents to come to us. That will open spaces at the back for people like Fred to break through. Both Fred and john marquis have a proven experience in scoring in this league. The changes need to come from neil

Players have come in and players have left and yet nothing has made a difference in 4 seasons to this terminal slide. What this team, the board, the staff, the players and the fans need is an experienced no-nonsense type of manager, somebody with a bit of a reputation of being a nasty git/disciplinary who knows what it takes to be a successful team an Alex Ferguson type of manager who scares the life out of the players and staff and yet wields full respect so playing in front of the Den crowd would be a warm welcome break! We need a manager with vision and tactical know-how to out think the opposition and drop This 'Millwall Way' rubbish which means what? Play hoofball and run around like headless chickens for 90mins with no end product? Does full commitment mean rash challenges, bookings and sending offs leaving the team at even more of a disadvantage... Nobody wants to pay to watch that. It's obvious we are missing a strong manager presence. I fear this stint could ruin NH managerial career before it's even begun. The board need to front up to this one for a change and bear the brunt of failure over the past 4 years. Such a shame

Hate to say it - but he's not up to the job - we need a little bit of experience to steady this extremely Rocky ship - even a temporary director of football like George graham? Shouldn't cost much - but the long term benefits could be immense - either that or put Neil back with the youngsters and get a new man in - anyone - this is dross at the moment and I'm not watching it anymore, I've spent my last penny at the Den until things change - I'm fed up with being treated like a cash cow for this once great club - yes you can say we need to stick with it through thick and thin - but for me there's been far too much thin - I'm off

Okay so I'll admit, I expected too much from Millwall this season. The reality is we're trying to bleed youngsters into the team and that is a gamble in itself which takes time. We already know we have a gem in Fred and others will begin to shine too no doubt. Not to mention we have senior players who are not stepping up nor do they have the bottle to play amongst a Millwall crowd. As for Harris although he has been naïve with his tactics and is inexperienced. Now is a better time than ever to get it. I hate to say it but I'm happy with just staying up this season. I do not expect a miracle.

@costalion: how the f*** is anything we are doing resembling "building for he future"? We are getting worse and worse and slipping down the league and down through the divisions as quickly as the controlled explosions by the US government that took the world trade centres down on 9/11 and it appears as though our demise is just as much an inside job as that clearly was. If any serious business "built for the future" like we have been for 4 years they would be out if business very quickly

@millwalltel: calm down. I'm isle of dogs not yank! Every firefighter at the scene testified to explosions bringing all 3 towers down and every preeminent architect of steel clad high rises bldgs and demolition experts have confirmed it. tower 7 wasn't even hit yet came down at freefall speed with no resistance from floors below?? WtC's1&2 were made of 47 steels in centre the bldgs were steel rods and built to withstand airliner flying in at 600 mph without the integrity if the structure being compromised. In the history of steel clad high rises none have ever collapsed to to fire / heat some burned far hotter for days but they collapsed in under an hour and under 2 hours. The planes? Of course I was them hit as did eye witnesses who testified at the scene that they were not airliners but military with something built on undercarriage. Never wondered why they weren't intercepted before they got anywhere near the towers?? Never wondered what was in tower 7 that was all destroyed?? Never wondered why the pentagon which is most heavily defended bldg in the world got hit? Didn't see the documents by bush administration saying the US needed "another Pearl Harbour?" Your reaction was my initial reaction and that's how these c**** bury it coz it seems beyond stupidity to even consider anything so ridiculous but check it out. Anyway my point was that we are falling down the league in free fall - like those buildings.....and like those bldgs it just shouldn't happen

The longer you leave it the worse it will get, lets not kid ourselves by thinking there is a plan cause if there is it is not working. Harris is out of his depth and the club is not being run properly. You can not keep sacking managers,at some stage the people at the top need to look at what they have achieved and do the decent thing. AA did nothing at Fulham and is not doing it here.

Are you for real 51% possession who does these states.
And I'm sorry but how can he say missed chances the only one I remember getting on target was Jimmys and the keeper pulled off a world class save, but did you notice what I just typed JIMMY he played more of a front man than our strikers? We also seem to only start with one winger in Fred but even then he plays as part of a forward three so therefore no wingers. How any crosses did we do 2 maybe 3. Anyone sitting in the south stand or the whole stand for that matter could clearly see that Cummings was playing more as a central defender than a right back AGAIN it was down to this why we conceded. No width no balance no passion no belief no hope no possible way this will get better unless an Arab comes in with billions.
To top it off we got rid of the players who apparently did not want to play for the badge, I'm guessing Harris was given the wrong list of players to get rid of.
The last four home games have been the same shocking absolute shocking.
Oh and did I mention it looked like Fred was playing as if his head has been turned!!! £100.000 and he's gone.

imo NH needs to be given time, we have some talented players coming through, it is just a question of getting the formation right, teams are coming to our place playing 5 in midfield, 2 wide and we are getting nowhere near them, why not play 2 wing backs in a 3-5-2 formation with Carlos & Ferguson as WB'S , NH said Ferguson would be back after the break, Moro & AOB up front

Went yesterday and was shocked how bad we were in the first half. 2nd half much better. Greggs going off for AOB made a big difference, Cummings looked good going forward and Jimmy and Jack had good games also. Archer was solid but Beevers was too slow and Fred looked out of sorts. Thought they deserved a point though as 2-0 flattered C'field. I fear time is running out for NH if new faces are not brought in by end of tomorrow. If Carlos and Joe are fit for Crewe then they must play. Away record could keep us up this season.

I think it's about what our players off the ball are not doing, when we are in possession there is such a lack of movement from our team, playing 4.3.3 on paper looks good and we all can see that, but it's about the full backs getting forward when in possession and the midfield getting back when needed. Our full backs that I've seen play, also Upson & Williams don't look like they got the legs to put in a proper shift. Carlos and Martin are capable I think hopefully we will see them soon.
Some good comments on here from both sides of the argument. It is too early to start panicking and I would be happy to stay up this season so we can gel more next, but we need to be picking up points in the next four games or it will be time to start making changes as we can not afford to be down there at Christmas.

I also agree with a few who have stated we need creativity in midfield, our defensive midfield seems to be non existent. Thompson Looks creative also Powel seemed to be creating too.

The answer might not be buying a load of players as that's not done us any favours, these players need motivating to get them commuted 110% I'm annoyed because they all look deflated, they lack any movement or emery, and do not look committed... That's the coaches and managers job.

For the past 3 years the team has lacked motivation, we need a motivator a strong character and people person who can them going or kick them up the a*** when needed.....

Against Bromley pre season behind the dug out I heard three words from our bench.... Move, Inside and Forward... The Bromley Bench was louder, constantly barking orders and encouragement. I might sit near he dug out at our next home game to see what I can hear from our staff... Anyone on here that sits near the home dugout? I would like to hear what you think?

I can understand all the doom and gloom on here but after the last 4 seasons of poor club management both on and off the pitch, anyone with any sense would realize that the re-building program required would not yield results overnight. Due to our financial circumstances there is no quick fix. Whoever, is our manager is going to have to make do with what is at the club at this point in time.
As for Saturday's performance the stats of 4 shots with a supposedly 2 on target (I can't remember the 2nd shot) is unacceptable. In addition our defending particularly in the first 20 minutes was non existent. However, we did show improvement when O'Brien came on. I also thought Thompson had a good game.
There have been several comments on here stating that NH is to naive and in-experienced. Whilst this is true due to his length of time in the position. The fact is that any manager experienced or not would be struggling with what the young squad we have available, which still need to learn their trade. Nevertheless, it is vital we don't end up relegated this season. In all honesty Chesterfield were not much better and the 2 - 0 result was very flattering. IMO NH needs help. We need to stop leaking goals by defending with purpose. We need to control the midfield enough to prevent the opposition and to assist our own forwards. The idea of a Director of football may work in this instance. Someone like Steve Coppell or George Graham who would be able to advise how to improve the defence and midfield. This would then allow us to play on a level playing field that may stop the flow of poor results.
Those who say enough is enough and have decided not to come until there is improvement, I hope they do not return as that action is not going to help the cause. Whilst it is sole destroying to watch the S**t at the moment and to suffer in the work place due to us being such a joke, our support and encouragement is needed more than ever if we are to survive. We have done it in the past we can do it again.
Like most of us on here I really do not want NH to fail but if we allow this to continue he will end up leaving the club with his reputation of being a loyal servant severely tarnished.

Anyone there on Saturday, would have noticed from first half kick off ( Millwall).
Ball was passed back, and hoofed up field for Morison and went straight for a throw in.
Chesterfield kick off second half, a few passes and we were back peddling and all over
the show. Chalk and Cheese Football wise.
That comes from the management team.

Sorry, but dated long ball nonsense is going to get this team into serious
trouble very soon, like propping up the league.
No wonder the players are struggling, no team in the world wants to play
    like that anymore.

@lowdown: Good post thanks, I cannot believe Millwall are stillplaying the long ball game, it shows a complete lack of ideas and creativity, "kick and hope football" does not work it is counter productive-boring and must be soul destroying for young creative players like Fred.
That type of play can only come from the management -if they cannot offer much else then afraid to say we need a change.

We can't afford new players let alone a new manager at the moment, NH has a big task on his hands getting this team to stay in this division, he's still learning his trade and is tactically inept, get rid of Livermore and get a George Graham like character in, someone who knows how to get there point across, tactically we are naive, and easy to play against, and I'm pretty sure this is not the Millwall way NH was on about at the start of the season, also we need to tie down players like Archer & Fred on longer term contract, otherwise 1 good season they'll be sold for peanuts, and we need a CM player who can dictate play but as previously stated I can't see us buying anyone else at the moment, but for now just stop the rot of goals against by playing 5 in the middle
