What's the point of this? I'll rate them all. 0-4. They're the only numbers that count. There you go. Next post.

@Longfield Lion: I make you right Longfield Lion. Not one good performance from any of the players today. NH said we were going to turn the Den into a fortress again, not with a performance without pride passion and dedication. Need someone in the midfield to take a strong hold of the play and the team. TG not really a leader IMO. To be honest and I know it's early days but we are still a long way from having a good side. If we don't get sorted soon then we are going to struggle. Hope I'm wrong.

@millwallmark: I just hope its not a cynical move on the clubs part to sell season tickets to give Harris the job and then make him the scapegoat if it all goes wrong,he doesn't deserve that.

You're way off the mark with that comment!!!
We had a total collapse today which every team has regardless of division. Keep the faith boys. Harris was NOT happy at all. Let's see what he does or how he turns this upset round.

Plenty of intelligence you plank! This is a new season, new team under Harris.
Stop living and basing your comments on seasons past. Yes we have upsets and not bounced back since the days of Jackett but as above, let's see what's around the corner before we spout adolescent comments about Harris capabilities and supporters intelligence!! I see why it was said but def way off the mark this season.

I think whatever we've got going on at the moment clearly isn't working. Hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have a few players back from injury and hopefully will be able to stick Abdou back in the engine room making tackles and increasing at least attempting to stop us looking like a bunch of schoolboys, with powell by his side getting forward and feeding passes onto the strikers. Could even stick cummings at left back once carlos is back (if he is still a decent players after all the time out), giving us a nice amount of pace not just to defend but also for the counterattack to support the wingers.
    my ideal team would be:

    Archer
    Cummings Beavers Craig Edwards
    Cowan-Hall Abdou Powell Onyedinma
    Morrison Gregs/Obrien

Nice amount of pace on the wings and our decent 6'4 centre-back once again in the middle where he belongs. Also think powell has something to prove and Jimmi always puts in a shift so we wouldn't be bottling the midfield so much

Losing at home 0-4 is terrible !! We are a shambles. I would drop the whole back four except beavers.
play archer , Edwards , nelson , beevers, Ferguson .
I'm sorry but you just don't lose by four at home it's a disgrace. Losing at home is bad enough but getting smashed shouldn't happen . I'm so pee-ed off its unreal.
Clearly looks like Mr big balls foot like a wond Williams can't play midfield , Eva put him back in the back four where he played before we signed him or drop him to the bench . I agree with comments from another post play the youngsters in midfield , the experienced boys ain't cutting it . Was gonna go Tuesday but sod that not gonna waste my money rather go away games

    Three thing.s i learned today
1 we cannot play a high line with a back four that has no pace.
2 Forde has to go,how many time,s last season did he wander out of his penalty area and was lucky not to be caught out, also he does not command his area.
3 If we want to persist with William's,we must have much more movement upfront else their is no point in playing him,as he cannot tackle or close people down.
I have noted only three point's,alas there was many other point's that i dont have time to mention.

Not much point but I may as well throw my thoughts in . From back to front, forde possibly at fault for first goal but you wouldn't expect him to be on his line at that point. I was embarrassed for beevers who is a limited but honest blocking centre half, if there's ever been a good 6ft5" left back I've never heard of him, the portugese kid turned him senseless and it was horrible to watch.Webster was terrible first half but at least he didn't hide and kept going second half, Williams looks an absolute lightweight at the moment and could be what we used to call a luxury player, upson more or less the same I don't think they can be trusted without some steel in midfield.Lee martin poor , fred did ok and didn't hide, one of a a couple of positives, Morrison tried hard enough, Gregory I looks as though halifax is his level. At half time I was seriously worried about the managers credentials, what did he see in beevers to think he was a left wingback? I was so relieved he took him off although Webster possibly should have gone with beevers dropping back in the middle, maybe beevers head was shot away by that point. In conclusion are we a lose 4-0 at home third division side ? I don't think so but it's hard to see any progress in this team , a long fruitless season of mid table struggle I think , hope I'm wrong but it's very hard to see more than the odd positive ,bring on Barnsley .

cant believe the sh#t im reading on here. you do realise today we came up against one of the best attacking units in this division, and we did so with beevers having to fill in left back because martins injured and no abdou basically meaning our back four had no protection from the midfield. And people calling harris naive........ OFF COURSE HE F#CKING IS the mans managed us for less than 20 games. Now on to the people bashing JB for a lack off investment, you do realise he just wrote off a decent chunk of our debt and has made up for the clubs losses out of his own pocket more times than i can care to remember, along with the 800k bid for hanson with some of that being spent on the morrison transfer. Last but not least (i quote from someone who comments on this site cant remember who said it) IF YOU WANT INSTANT SUCCESS THEN F#CK OFF UP THE ROAD TO CHELSEA
one last cheeky thing for the people who already know how are season is going to pan out after 3 games remember this......................... If your were so wise and correct in your predictions then sky wouldnt have asked the clown to be a pundit before you !

@Amblersheadwax: are you serously taking the mick for Berylson it was between him and AA that appointed Lomas and Holloway that has lead to the mess we are in, if they had gone for a more clever and astute manager after Jackett left we would still probably be in the championship, between these two there is no money left hence why JB has had to fork out as much debt to write off, so he isn't as clever with money as you make out.

They have not paid high transfers fees but more in wages were the hangers on after have cleaned out the float so there is no doubt why bomber has no money and is dare I say the cheap alternative. Which is not his fault.

So please don't say that Ambler has done a good job and is deluded

@dady71: And im pretty sure after we went down he admitted to those mistakes. yet again you complain with the view that theres a que of people willing to chuck millions into the black hole that is our club. remember this were only interesting to investors for the land we hold, and im not saying berylson isnt interested in it but at least he looks after the interest of the club as well as his own. mind you we could always give peter de savary a call see if he would be willing to re-start our charge towards the premier league

@Amblersheadwax: I for one am not complaining but please tell me why you posted a comment at what our wonderful job our astute chairman has done, we all know these are money men and not in for the game and more to do with land an so forth.

I very much doubt a one Mr certain De Savary would be willing and from memory sold us down the river to Mr Berylson who has done an Average job but with more mistakes than greats.

@dady71: Please quote me on where i said he did a wonderful job ? at the end of the day find me someone else whos willing to fill up the holes on our balance sheets every year. and you can say what you like about my views but if you cant see that the call for de savary to come back was a joke then im not going to waste my time explaining them to you. It comes down to this you find me someone else whos willing to keep our club afloat financially brilliant, but i would definitely put a bullseye on you not being able to do that. So now you have two options go and find this mystery investor or stop f#cking complaining ....... and on another note if you cant tell the peter de savary comment was a joke ive got one question are you even wall ?

Whatever happens from now on the performance has to improve. Cruelly exposed in most areas yesterday and it makes no sense unless we are not being told the whole story of what is going on behind the scenes. It was supposed to be a new start but it's anything but. Like most fans at the moment I'm f****** hurting!

@DELBOY64: I have to agree with you DELBOY aint going to work wiyh a slow back four playing high up the pitch, also i am beginning to think William's does not want to be here,he did some silly late ankle tap's,and i wondered if he wanted to get sent off.To be fair to william's he is not a tough tackling mid-midfielder and he need's more movement up front if he is to get his passing going,so i think we are missing jimmy so much, young thompson put some life into the game when he came on.
All in all Mowbray did a job on us two me on fred every time he got the ball was effective in as much it stopped fred playing as well as we would have liked and their big centre half did his job as far as greggs and morro were concerned, but most of all the high line of our back four played right into their hand's.
The penalty miss and Forde's mistakes just about topped it all, perhap's we should put this game down to larkin, come barnsley i want to see player's selected who show they want to play for millwall alas i dont think William's is one of them.
One question i would like answered by NH is why was beaver's at LB when we brought fergie in from newcastle to do that job? and when he came on he showed he can do that job well, also NH said pre season he was going with youth and we started with just one fred?
I am not knocking NH but i just dont understand his thinking at the moment.

Yesterday was disaster on a massive scale -

HARRIS CANNOT BLAME THE PLAYERS 0/10 FOR HARRIS.
THE TEAM AND THE SUPPORTERS KNOW THEY KNOW THAT FORDE SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING I REMEMBER READING ON HERE THAT HARRIS WOULD BE ALRIGHT WITH IT IF HE WENT NOBODY WANTS HIM - HIS GOALKEEEPING DAYS ARE FINISHED YET HE PLAYS HIM

BILLY BEEVERS IS NOT A LEFT BACK IN ANY SHAPE OF FORM - IF I WAS BILLY B I WOULD JUMP AT THE CHANCE OF GOING TO BRADFORD AND GET AWAYS FROM A SINKING SHIP BECAUSE THAT ALL THAT WALL ARE. I quite BB left back no way. HARRIS WRONG AGAIN TEAM KNOW AND SO DO SUPPORTERS BAD MANAGEMENT ALL ROUND JUST WANTS TO SHOW WHO IS BOSS WRONG.

I RECKON 5000 top whack against BARNSLEY could even be less - I WON'T BE THERE THATS FOR SHOW UNTIL HARRIS WISES UP OH FOR A DENNIS WISE........BRING HIM BACK

Having read this site for years finally decided to register and post. I like all of us could not believe what I saw yesterday that said we have a history of getting at least one or two hammerings a season at home so I am not pressing the panic button yet. I will say though that having been at the Readin away game early doors last season I knew then Webster is just not good enough he has no positional sense no pace and no idea. We played Nelson at the end of last season and although raw and with alot to learn he must play. For me I dont rate Cummings he is not a team player and again is not a team player. If Carlos is fit his experiance pace and knowhow makes him a nailed on starter.
Williams cant play Centre Midfield he cant tackle he cant run and he slows the game down too much. Upson can play in this team but never with Williams.
Martin runs around alot but is meant to a winger he cant cross and is a player who you use away from home and only when your trying to protect a lead when his energy and running helps you. Fred is still learning the game and needs support he has to be managed correctly. This team misses Abdou and O Brien hugely.
As for Forde he was at fault at least two of the goals for the first you saw the stop turn look where forde was and then go for it this happened just inside our half his positioning was terrible, as it was when he was beaten on his near post. Take him out of the firing line and play Archer if Forde wants to play for Millwall he will react to this. This was a poor result but be under no illusion this will happen. Harris hates losing and loves this club which is more than we have had for the last two seasons he will make mistakes but in the end he will get it right.
