Wanderers boss Waddock coy on Millwall's Beavon bid

WYCOMBE manager Gary Waddock has refused to comment on Millwall's bid for striker Stuart Beavon.

The Lions have had an opening offer worth around £200,000 rejected by the League Two side for the 28-year-old, who is also reported to be a target for Preston North End.

Beavon took part in an open training session at Adams Park this morning ahead of the Chairboys' trip to Watford in the first round of the League Cup on Saturday.

Waddock told the Buckinghamshire Advertiser: "Nobody's called this morning. He's ready for the training day this morning here at the ground.

"I'm sure he'll be looking forward to meeting the young fans we've got here. He's just preparing for the game on Saturday."
