NEIL Harris says Shane Ferguson will give Millwall different options after signing him on loan from Newcastle United.

The Northern Ireland international met his new team-mates today and will travel with the squad to Shrewsbury for tomorrow’s league opener.

“We’re delighted to be getting Shane on board,” the Millwall boss told the club’s official website. “He is a player who has picked up vast experience in recent seasons playing in the Premier League, the Championship and at international level.”

“Shane is a great acquisition to the squad. He has natural left-footed ability and can provide terrific deliveries into the box.

“He is equally comfortable playing at left-back as he is on the left-wing so that kind of versatility will be very important to us, especially at a time when Joe Martin isn’t available.”

The signing of Ferguson also gives the Lions a new dimension at set-pieces:

Really good signing this, also morro back, I hope they both start tomorrow, remember when the two Russians played for us? The first game was a sell out, the point I'm trying to make is good quality players and I'm sure the fans will flock back to the den.

@seanmfc: @foxy: I remember that game...was all down hill after that. But I remember the game kicking off late and Millwall fans in the north stand and Port vale fans in the corner looking very nervous, separated with a thin line of equally nervous looking bobbies. Our Wembley appearances also prove that this club has massive support. Its why I dont understand the under investment in players. Pay out, and fans get excited and pack the stands. Plus, god forbid,we might be successful. But, I'll let that slide, as our kids are about to kick this leagues back doors in! COYL! Also - and this is a moan - Ollies sky sports weekend predictions has us losing 3-1... someone should tell him hes not our manager anymore.

So 1) that idiot's contract included no clause regarding employment within the sector 2) some buffoon is actually paying him to give his opinions 3) he has naff all sense of loyalty despite being paid an arm and a leg for naffing off and 4) his opinions are still garbage?

        No change there then.
