STEVE Morison's agent has set the record straight after reports that the former Millwall forward is set to return to the club.

The striker is currently on a pre-season tour of Austria with Leeds and scored in athe defeat to German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.

Morison's agent has stated the rumour in Morison returning for a third spell is pure speculation and insists he has had no contact from the club regarding his client.

“No one has contacted me or Steve." Morison's agent told NewsAtDen.

“He’s in Austria with Leeds, he played a game last night (Tuesday) and scored. It’s totally rumour.

I really hope that Jacket left this rumour floating about to hide his real targets and try to lower their interest from other clubs, somehow doubt it though

Our third Hanson bid was accepted by Bradford but like others have said, Parkinson persuaded him to stay.

Another blessing in disguise, imo, as he's not the target man that Bomber keeps talking about. We'll just have to be patient and be pleasantly surprised.

I think he would be a great addition and this doesn't mean the deal is dead. This could be the agent trying to stir things up and get us to put forward a firm offer. Thats me hoping anyway!

we should get him for the future....he would be big in league 2,
what a revelation in his first spell after a shaky start...to think we had Morrisson playing second fiddle to an in form Gary Alexander
thought he went through the motions in his second spell, albeit in a poor team....cant see things would be any different this time round

Fair point Berm, who knows it could be some sort of twisted agent ploy to get us to pay more.

Basically how badly do we want him, to see if we'll pay over the odds wages wise?!

Moro's second spell was not good, scored very little and looked very low in confidence the whole time, personally I think he has had his day and we should move on.

@glyngo: That's an interesting point but I remember him having a lean spell when he first came then all of a sudden settled himself, found confidence and was causing problems for every defence in the league! Not sure who would get through a bad patch at the den with the way some of our fans carry on!

I'm afraid super Neil you've been hung out to dry, to all you dislikers if you can justify our making out we wanted to spend money on Hanson "whilst season and memerships hit a higher note then last year" then turns out Hanson isn't coming and no sign of a striker we've all been had. The board are AT IT

@mfcmike: mike,if you read what Hanson said in his local paper,he said the deal to join us was done all he had to do was sign,at which point his manager DEMANDED to see him,and changed his mind to stay at Bradford.so it was not all Millwall's fault he did not sign for us.

However all on here can see the writing on the wall and there chairman hasn't come out to say we have money to spend his not even spoke about his poxy knee for ages in short his in hiding. Isos sooner they said no money and that's that instead of dangling the bate and then ride out the disharmony

I think the agent is trying to get millwall to put a offer in. NAD should be asking Harris about Morrison or until Morrison signs for another club the rumours won't go away. Would still prefer George warring from Stoke.

I think I'm right in saying that he's still contracted to Leeds for another 18 months, if so that's gonna have to be paid up, even if we stump up half it will be a substansial layout. Is a 31yr old worth that or should we be looking at a younger option? I'm in two minds, not keen on Morison as a person but I do think he would be dangerous in league one, also with the season right round the corner we are running out of time........ Over to you bomber.

If my memory serves me right, not many on here were in approval of going for Hanson, but since the deal fell through it seems many are disappointed that we didn't clinch the deal. Now this could be that most people only post their disapproving opinions or the fors and againsts our interest in Hanson were and are different people. What say ye comrades? ;)

I don't think people are necessarily disappointed at missing out on Hanson but more so the lack of activity since then. I guess patience is the key and Harris must have something up his sleeve...we hope otherwise we will struggle with what we have and are in trouble if we get any more injuries

@john H: In my opinion it does seem like we only had a Plan A, and since he didn't sign we have had nothing.

I know lots of people don't want that big lump style but from showing in the 2 friendlies we have definitely need someone to get on the end of corners and crosses. we have plenty of options in LG, AOB JM, Philpot and Fred even for the smaller quicker player, in this league we will come up against big defenders and at 65 minutes and we haven't broken down a team we need another option

Wasn't too fussed about Hanson or Morison but fed up that it's taking so long to get someone - anyone. Bomber has publicly said that he knows we need another striker, so hopefully something is going on in the background. Gawd, I hope so anyway as I think we're rapidly running out of time!

The agent didn't exactly say that Morison is committed to Leeds. I think he could do a job in League one, the problem we have is how long a contract would he want? and how much wages ? I cant see us giving anyone more than two years and by they we have just offloaded every high earner at the club we wouldn't accept his wage demands either. Balotelli is surplus to requirements at Liverpool maybe we could get him p***** and get him to sign for us? At least we would have some fun at the Den for a change.

Reading what Neil has written it would appear that he is making inquires and has also said he would like to sign a striker yesterday" so the fact that we need a striker or two isn't lost on Neil and I think we all know that we need a quality striker or two but I think the reason we go on about it so much is a bit like when your watching a horse race on TV and you keep egging on your chosen horse to win, and even shouting at the top of your voice, it's all in vain, it doesn't make a blind bit of difference to the outcome of the race yet we still do it, there are other little rituals people go through when wishing for something to happen eg blowing on dice hoping it will influence the way the dice land, touching wood there's many more examples I can think of but I think you get the picture by now. I.K.I.A.I.S.I.A. I'm Millwall til I die. Have a nice weekend folks and when we wake up Monday morning, who knows who will be pulling on the shirt.
