JACK Powell, Jamie Philpot and Lee Martin should be fit for Millwall’s next two pre-season friendlies at AFC Wimbledon and Stevenage.

Neil Harris confirmed last night after the 2-2 draw with Bromley that Powell and Martin had picked up minor strains in training.

Philpot is close to a return following his rehabilitation for an injury he suffered in the last game of the season at Wolves.

Carlos Edwards also missed the game at Hayes Lane but could feature in an U21 fixture against Kingstonians next Tuesday.

Meanwhile club physio Bobby Bacic expects another couple of absentees to return to face Teddy Sheringham’s side.

He told the club’s official website: “Lee Gregory – who has had a planned injection in his knee tendon – and Paris Cowan-Hall will look to be ready for the friendly away to Stevenage.

“Paris is doing very well after his minor strain and is doing extra work in the gym during the afternoons on top of his running and rehab.”

There can be no other team in the 92 that has an injury list as tedious as ours. Bomber talks of fitness, but as soon as our players kick a ball in anger they start queueing at the physios door. Im bored with this year on year.

Philpot is coming back from major knee surgery and Gregory is already receiving injections and carrying knocks... Put two quality strikers needed on that shopping list Neil! Morison and Becchio will do for two a piece mate they know this league inside and out and both have got points to prove since leaving Millwall and Leeds respectively.

already the lies - they said Gregory would play against Wimbledon as he had a minor knock - now he needs an injection - you don't inject into joints for no reason

what odds he isn't fit for the start of season - over training

    I K I A I S I A. I'm Millwall til I die, that will never change no matter what.
but I was mistakenly optimistic last season, I'm hoping my feelings are wrong about the coming season, somebody cheer me up please.
Is my usual optimistic, look on the bright side, every cloud has a silver lining attitude being eroded by profits of doom and gloom ans serial dislikers? ;) :) ;)
