MILLWALL will play Barnet at home in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The ties will commence the week of August 10, just three days after the start of the Sky Bet League One campaign.

Barnet finished top of the Conference Premier last season to win promotion to League Two after two years out of the football league.

The Lions reached the second round last year where they lost 2-0 to Southampton.

The fixtures for the league campaign will be released tomorrow morning.

    Always a banana skin when you play someone who has just been promoted that early in the season, they currently have a winning mentality and we have a losing one, wouldn't be surprised if its a lot closer than it should be.

    Harris is in talks with Alfie Mawson, the young Centre Back who was on-loan at Wycombe last season from Brentford.... looks a quality player every time I've seen him play!!

    We can sign him on a free as well as Brentford have said they cannot give him the 1st team football he wants!

    Who would he replace??

          @Jim28: wouldn't be surprised if beevers went but need an extra cb as we got rid or lost Hoover Danny Dunne Goodman is Webster still on the books?

            @timchimes: He can indeed but his strongest position is Centre back, where he played most for Wycombe and became their player of the season!

          @Bradders:

          In talks with us so it says so Bees must surely be willing to cancel his contract or already have done so to allow talks to go ahead - sounds positive. Bomber was obviously checking out more than Fred at Wembley!!

          @timchimes: Haha thanks Tim, when I've seen Alfie play he is exceptionally good on the ball, a strong quick player... Brentford's loss would be our massive gain!

          The only thing which does worry me is, if we did sign Mawson, then I would like some experience either with him or Nelson... what happens to either Beevers or Webster as both at this level are very good and should be able to dominate!

            @Bradders: That's what i was thinking.. Seems to good to be true, saw him play at Wycombe, he's pure class. Fred tweeted saying Alfie Mawson would play in the Prem one day, he adds goals to his game as well. Would make my day if we signed him for Centre Half!

      @benzo: There will be a lot who don't agree as Nelson is one of our own and Beevers is an experienced player who we brought in a good few years ago.... tough decisions for Harris come the start of the season!

    Talking about Nelson again - so boring BEEVERS is far more experienced, bigger, more street defensively wise, football wise and still we go on and on and on tomorrow it must be Fred's turn mind you he doesn't seem to say much on here. Then it will be another picture of AOB on here. Yep can't wait for the next barnstorming thread - yep fixtures out tomorrow away to Oldham now that will make me excited. New dawn yes I am so excited about Bomber and the new season can't wait bring it on. What about the rest of the squad who just get on with it like Jimmi. Must be agent's beefing them up. So f....g boring.
