The 4th goal for a keeper was an absolute joke. He is with respect passed his sell by date.

@potty1: all the goals we conceded were down to schoolboy defensive errors. Get shot of Forde, he has no command over his area or the guys in front of him.
He is a liability now, take the first offer and get him off the wage list.

@potty1: To be fair to Forde he had very little protection yesterday and made a few decent saves. Wolves tore through our defence at will and looked like they'd score every time they went forward. Nelson in particular looked out of his depth.

@potty1: everyone can blame forde but the back four in front of him don't do him any favours. In fact their f****** s***! Slow as s***, terrible positioning, scared to tackle. Not one of them takes command. I think we'll be ok going forward next year if we can keep a few that have shown class, but our back five needs over hauling from today

@brockleysfinest: It's been the same all season woeful defending, it's even more important to be tight at the back when you are not scoring many. If the defence think it will be any easier in div 1 then they have a shock coming.

if we defend like that in league one we will be doing our usual and spend years coming out of it.there are still dangerous strikers amongst the teams in that division,so our defenders beware what with.20 players out of contract .it will be very interesting to see who remains and who is shown the door.and who the management bring in as new signings.no more loan players please as long term, it starved our youth of progressing naturally through the ranks.and they are the future. our.pre-season friendlies is what i am looking forward to and next seasons fixture list.

one good thing was seeing young Philpot getting in front of his marker, with gregory O' brien linking well and the likes of Phillpot and pavey pushing the for a place in the starting line up perhaps we will score goals next season, but the priority has to be the defence because we we ended up shipping goals like we have all season.
We have to start with the goalkeeper,i know there are a number of fan's who think he is ok,but sorry he has to go.

Every goal attributed to Forde you could not give him away and sure as eggs as eggs he won't go voluntarily. Both the Krankies in goal could have done better than that show. Optimism for next season you have seriously got to be joking - fact we will not get promoted next season. Furthermore,
we go straight into the first round of the FA cup and that's progress.

Forde should of done a lot better for their last two but the first couple were down to the defence. He is still a decent keeper imo and with a rest in the off season and a better defence in front of him we could do a lot worse. I would rather a couple of decent centre backs than a new keeper unless we find the next Peter schmeichel.

@LETEMCOME: Sorry but he is not a decent keeper,he does not command his area.he get's beat far to easily on long shot's,his clearances are hit and miss, and he is now far to old,he should not have been given a three year contract.
In a nutshell he is past it.

Whether your stance is Forde is good enough for a couple of years, or whether your stance is Forde is past it, one thing we can all agree on is a 'keeper of his age isn't going to be in our team come 4 or 5 years from now when we need to be not only back back in the 2nd tier, but competing in it.

The Americans are pretty good with their hand control. Why not scout in our owner's backyard?

@brockleysfinest: Kasey Keller is still one of Millwall's best goalkeepers and Tim Howard and Brad Friedel both did pretty well in the Premiership. You could be onto something there SE14...

Keeping Forde on his wages will stop future signings, imo we should cash in and gamble on our youth.
Mid table in league 1 for a season and build from their.

The biggest problem all season was the organisation of the defence, it was a shambles. All the focus was on the front players – and largely still is - but surely the priority should have been not to concede?
Corners and free kicks are not new, so why was the defence not organised? Forde is a good shot stopper but he is poor on long shots so surely the defence should close down shots from the edge of the area?

I did not go to Wolves but the highlights show that once again the defending was weak, defenders were just brushed aside – this should not happen.

Youth is all well and good but in my view the most important summer acquisitions would be an experienced centre half pairing and a defence coach. Be hard to beat.
