As it happened: Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Millwall

FOLLOW live team news and match action as Millwall face Blackburn.

Victory at Ewood Park would see the Lions close the gap on Rotherham, the side directly above them in the table, to just one point.

Interim boss Neil Harris has hinted that he may freshen up his starting XI – in particular his forward line – after a gruelling run of fixtures.

Beat either Derby or Wolves and Rotherham to lose remaining 3 and the 3pt deduction.

    Easy ;)

@Millwall1979: certainly disappointing but we never do things the easy way.

Rotherham play tomorrow I think and punishment for ineligible player also due in the next few days.

With a bit of luck before Saturday's game with Derby we will be 1pt behind with 2 to play.

Now be honest 2-3 months ago we would have been delighted to still have even a chance of staying up. Let's just wait and see what happens. (They might win of course and not get a pt deduction and then that's the end of that!)

@MFC Lion: mate, please tell me you are f***** about! Last two games were our only hope of points and we still can't score a goal. I'm all good with going down and keeping chopper. Maybe we can score goals in div 1 cos we sure as f*** can't in the championship

No Geoff I'm not f****** about. We are capable of beating either Derby or Wolves. Yes they're better than us but they're not Real Madrid!

Let's wait and see what happens with Rotherham first as last 2 games could end up being totally irrelevant if they win and go unpunished.

@baz2262: baz, honestly can't believe you said that! Chopper has put more fire and passion in our team in many many years. Our run in form is also better than many years before. The fact is he inherited Holloways team and had done more in 5 games than holloway did in a season. We lost tonight, so what! He at least has put something back in our club and I for one want to see him leading us next season

@baz2262: Yeh why would we give the job to chopper? He's ex Chelsea with no managerial experience.

Bomber however seems to know what he's doing!

@MFC Lion: chopper, bomber! I'm seriously confused. Always thought Neil was bomber but it seems chopper is the new name. We should vote, likes for bomber, dislikes for chopper

@MFC Lion: Spot on, don't ever remember Harris tacking players out on the half way line and leaving stud marks in there midriff , but Bomber used to score a lot of goals and I think he is the current manager at Millwall.

@wall2wall: I hear GTF missed another late chance, how many more does a man of his experience need to get a goal?
      Shocking, not good enough!
The board of directors should hang their heads in shame, as they have not invested in the strikers we need to compete at this level, and they might as well pack it in and move on if they cannot show some ambition for this great club of ours!

Never mind we will have john couldn't hit a barn door either marquis back next season! It could be worse and they actually buy a striker who scores goals?? Think that's the idea isn't it??

Paris should of taken his chance at 0-0 but we cant blame him. Same old story nothing in the final 3rd. We cant say we never went down without a fight but some will disagree. League 1 seems confirmed but who knows we still might do it...

all coco the c@%ts doing not a decent striker in sight, we should have sorted it in jan and got rid of the teat then, so who do we get GTF who cannot score for s*** and the Hof well he has been near on useless, fuller ok at the start but played on his own most of the season. So next season with our youngsters a year older and and stronger we could be in with a shout. Get shot of all the loanies and tie down the out of contract players
