@333lions: agreed, it will start quiet but I can see them throwing everything at us in second half when they hear about scores elsewhere, that will then leave gaps for us to exploit, counter attack goal 80-85 minute.

Want 3 but would take 1 against tough oppo, although their manager warned them about being arrogant I reckon they will turn up thinking it will be easy, need to get at em from the first whistle

Good finish, but Cummings did very little to stop the ball coming back across the box. Good finish

One class finish and a strong penalty claim is the only difference between the two sides. O'Brien excellent but Gregory needs a bit more help up top at times. Cummings could've done a bit more to stop the cross for the goal but finish was class.

I thought Cummings was poor for the first goal, might be a little harsh, but his defending for the second was pathetic. We ain't done too bad today against a side that may well go straight up. I think we should've had a penalty at nil nil so things could've been different. Was fairly comfortable for Watford since the second but no capitulation. Fat lady is clearing her throat now but I'm encouraged by that for next season.

cummings might have stopped the cross for the first goal but equally vydra cant be left alone like that - beever is miles off him - it is not as if the cross comes in quickly - beevers is anticipating the ball across the box - details that cost you matches

@timchimes: Not going to argue with that but it was a class finish though. Second goal was very poor from Cummings.

there is a reason why cummings wasn't wanted at reading - for all his athleticism his is not hard enough - shirks challenges and doesn't read the game that - well he isn't particularly well composed on the ball either - a league one player so that is where he will be playing

@timchimes: Watched the game on a feed Tim and I thought we were OK, albeit Watford were fairly comfortable after scoring the second. Bearing in mind that they are a form team quite possibly heading for the Premiership and we are heading for League One there was only a couple of class players between the sides. I've never been convinced by Beevers and have been saying for two years now that we need a decent centre half, although Nelson played well enough today and certainly doesn't lack confidence the way he was bossing Beevers around. Gregory gave them some trouble in the first half and O'Brien played well, but both faded. Everybody else were tidy enough, except Cummings. If we can play like that in League One and find an answer to creating more chances I think we'd be up there challenging next year.

Bit disapointed with the lack luster performance today. Too many players sitting back allowing Watford to play. Upson was too affraid to leave the halfway line, Harding had nothing. I didn't think Watford were that special but I couldn't see a goal in us. Gutted

I agree we have the core to go well next year - we need 2 or 3 shrewd signings , a goal scorer and as you say a bully of a CB and some creativity in midfield - Fred back hopefully PCH fit and lives up to expectation
