Millwall to assess Cowan-Hall knock ahead of Brighton clash

PARIS Cowan-Hall is Millwall's only fresh injury doubt for their clash with Brighton at The Den on Tuesday evening.

Cowan-Hall picked up a slight knock during a substitute appearance against Bolton at the weekend and is being monitored by the club's medical staff.

Interim manager Neil Harris said: "Paris got a whack in what was a very good challenge by him. For a small lad, he's got a physical presence in the air and on the floor.

"It was a great cameo performance but unfortunately he got a whack on his ankle so we've got to assess him to see how he goes for tomorrow night."

    Will be playing second fiddle when Fred gets back but could be a good thing since this lad seem a little too injury prone since joining from Wycombe

      @Bexley_Lion:
      I still haven't seen pch play but if he's good then why not have him play left wing and have Fred up front like where Wycombe are playing him?

      @Bexley_Lion: I reckon Paris will play on one wing and Fred on the other. From what I can gather, Fred has been playing on either wing for Wycombe

      @Bexley_Lion: When we bought him was told he was a very good player but very injury prone , which seems to be the case

      @DELBOY64: @DELBOY64: Mate that's nothing to write home about. Dennis Wise would win more than Hof in the air. I reckon Uwe Fuchs probably even won more in the air than the Hof. He's a 7 foot oxygen thief mate.

    Made of glass some of these players! Suppose to be athletes! Imagine the players playing in the 30s/50s s*** ground medicine ball as the match ball s*** boots and a bucket of water and a sponge. (Knock me down with a lump of lead pipeing) it gets worse rant over

    Looks like PCH needs a total exclusion zone around him or he gets injured, he may be a live wire but he's looking as relible as Bailey at the moment.Wycombe must be having a good laugh, they get money for a sicknote and get Fred till the end of the season.

            @bermlion: They don't pass a medical as such. All they have to do is outrun Shittu over 10 metres, play the invisible man with Dunne and pick a pocket or two.

          @Jim28: Your right Jim, on his showing so far it doesn't look like he is cut out for the rigours of league football. it's nice to have a Ferrari but if the bloody thing only works for 30 mins every other months then it's as useful as a chocolate teapot.

    Unfortunate. You can't exactly blame PCH, i'm sure if he had the choice he'd rather be playing. And it wasn't exactly his fault when Beevers went through him in training or if he puts in a good challenge and gets knocked.

    Couldn't make this up perhaps Paris should look at changing his game a little. Not go in for every single ball as if his life depended on it or maybe play him upfront who knows he may turn out to be the striker we've been missing

      @lukesmithmfc: I think going into every challenge as if their lives depended on it is exactly what we've been missing all season. I'd rather see that than some of the total utter bottle jobs we've got out there.

        @southlondon1885: there's a way of doing it
        Yes I agree about the bottle jobs but Paris will be more effective on the pitch than in the treatment room. We've missed a player who wears his heart on his sleave but that needs to come from CM and at the back a player like Paris needs to contain his enthusiasm so we get more out of his game. Don't get me wrong south I love a player who goes in whole hearted but we need him on the pitch he's still young and has a lot to learn. An attacker like him could be what we need next season but he's no good to us in the treatment room.

    One of the priorities i would insist on for our players is that they all toughen up !! tackle with their body weight behind them, challenge for headers by looking at the ball and not the opposition player and be committed, block the ball by facing the ball, then you can stick out a leg as you know where the ball goes, and if you take one in the face, well it dosn't matter because you are MILLWALL !!!!! when you get fouled, even if it hurts, get up and laugh at the player, and give them some verbal, and dont limp !!!!! sorry for the rant !

      @rowanonthewing7: This season i have seen the likes of Malone,Mcdonald and Martin jump out of tackles and not one of their team mates has berated them,a few seasons ago a character like Andy Frampton would have threatened to give them a dig!This is another reason we are where we are and next season will be physically much tougher.

        @norris: I agree norris, i know i am old school but even the great teams have an 'enforcer' and players who can 'intimidate' when needed! being a winner is not just about being the most skillful, a winning team needs a mixture and i hope Harris can build on this model, he played in enough Millwall sides that had this !

          @rowanonthewing7: Agree about an enforcer, thats why i think Sid might be the answer in midfield holding role, we've been so lightweight for a while now its embarrassing, all these away managers saying what a tough place to come and they know were just rolling over !

      @rowanonthewing7: Only thing about tackling is you've either got it or you aint, and theirs far to many in our squad who aint got it, biggest plus about Sid Nelson he's got courage by the bucket load, and you can't teach that !!!

      @Luvofmylife: One of the most pleasurable things in football is seeing youngsters breaking into the first team and improving, if that happens at your own club fantastic, opportunities there at millwall next season in abundance, good luck to ben in the future.
