Preview: Bolton vs. Millwall

NEW Millwall manager Neil Harris has been handed a triple injury boost ahead of his first game in charge.

Stefan Maierhofer, Shaun Cummings and Paris Cowan-Hall have all been passed fit to return to the Lions squad for their trip to Bolton tomorrow.

Harris will, however, be without midfielder Nicky Bailey, who suffered a back spasm against Norwich last time out.

Millwall's interim boss has hinted at a change of tactics from the Ian Holloway regime, with a return to 4-4-2 being one possible alteration.

Lee Martin (foot) and Carlos Edwards (knee) remain sidelined.

Bolton have a lengthy long-term injury list, with Mark Davies (knee), Marc Tierney (broken leg), Adam Bogdan (ankle), Kevin McNaughton (broken leg), Max Clayton (knee), Zach Clough (shoulder), David Wheater (hamstring) and Liam Trotter (thigh) all out.

But Andy Lonergan (concussion), Craig Davies (hamstring) and Emile Heskey (calf) are available again.

Now what Harris and the team need is an early goal to boost their confidence.

I'll settle for a hard-fought draw to steady the ship, followed up with a resounding win against Brighton on Tuesday.

      @Micky Lions:

we need to win both games - we have to win at least 6 to stay up

a draw against bolton means 6 wins needed from 9 - not realistic in m y book

if we are going to be relegated might as well go down by 10 point as 1pt

I really dont like the way everyone is talking about Harris they're all coming out the woodwork like he's the messiah ,have you seen today's SLP, I hope people don't turn on him when we go down, all his brief should be is get some pride back into this club,he should be left alone whatever the results.
    JUST STAY OFF HIS BACK.

@eddielarge: Agree with this. Harris has inheritred a team that would struggle to achieve mid table finish in league one and have been getting battered week after week for a reason.. I am not expecting any miracles, and considering recent performances if he can make us competitive I'll be impressed... He could be a good fit but requires time, patience and a different mindset from us at the den!!!

Anyone who's been watching us this season will know full well what a tough job Harris is facing.

Anyone expecting us to suddenly be winning and to stay up is wildly optimistic/deluded.

We require about 6 wins from 10 and as we've only managed 7 from 36 so far it's going to require an exceptional effort from Neil, the players and us the fans to achieve this.

No true fan will s*** off Harris if he doesn't keep us up.

With Bolton on a good home run at this time, and us under a rallying cry of the manager and fans, it gives me some hope but the Players hold the key --- Are they as enthusiastic as others? I cant say --- We need Action now, until the season ends are we about to get it ????????

Archer to put in - bit of an ask Neil's first game in charge.

FORDE, CUMMINGS, THE DUTCHMAN, BEEVERS, HARDING
FAB WILLIAMS TONGE/UPSON THE EX WYCOMBE WIZARD
    THE HOFF and GREGGS
The game is too much pressure for the youngsters needs old heads here and speedy wingers to get balls in for the HOFF who knocks them down for Gregs and later on FULLER or the Leicester journeyman. Jimmi or UPSON to come on if needed and bobs your uncle. 3 points in the bag with Wolves beating Brighton, and Rotherham and Wigan drawing and the others just above losing - it's positive vibes vibes vibes. This manager's job is easy Neil you can sleep with one eye open it is I MEKONG RIVER after the manager's position at WALL. If I get 2000 likes then I must be in for a shout.

The state that the mad one has left our team in, I honestly cant see where we are going to get a result. Bomber has been lobbed in at the deepend and the next ten games can only prove whether he is up to the job in div.1 . Because thats where we are going. With the loss of championship money, it could be years before we are promoted back to that division. Bigger teams tban us have struggled I.e. coventry sheff utd
