Preview: Millwall vs. Norwich City

NICKY Bailey could be considered for selection against Norwich tomorrow after another successful run-out for Millwall's U21s on Tuesday.

Bailey has featured only twice for the first team this season because of a calf problem but has made several appearances for the Lions' development squad in recent weeks.

The midfielder's return to fitness this time last year coincided with an upturn in results and Ian Holloway may turn to the 30-year-old in similar circumstances 12 months on.

Stefan Maierhofer, Paris Cowan-Hall, Lee Martin and Shaun Cummings are still absent but Holloway hopes to start getting bodies back from the treatment room in the coming weeks.

Norwich will be without Lewis Grabban (ankle), Alex Tettey (suspended),  Elliott Bennett (hamstring) and Ryan Bennett (illness).

4-4-f******-2 and we might have a chance. They will boss the midfield if we give them time, only way to win this game is to get at them from the word go and get bodies in their penalty area, if we want to win or get a draw tomorrow we can't even attempt to out play them.

Cannot face another home defeat tomorrow. I'm staying away for my own health and sanity for the first time in 25 years when I have the time and money to go. A 0-4 reverse is on the cards. I hope the optomists are right and it's the turning point. However I still say IH OUT!

We have got a much better chance of us staying up if us the fans, the players and Ollie are on the same side..The results haven't been good fair enough..but as soon as we turn on our team and manager we might aswel be supporting the other side.its hard and annoying seeing alot of our performances. Years ago if it happened we would get on the OPPOSITIONS players and fans backs even more to try even the odds against teams that are better then us but now we're turning on our own..it's been a s@#t season,granted..but we gotta stick together cos if we don't were making it even easier for teams to come and play us at home...COYL

@dan85 deptford millwall: I think we've got more chance of staying up if the club got rid of IH and AA this evening. Delaying the inevitable is silly. IH has proved he doesn't have what it takes to get the players playing. Relegation is not a certainty if we get rid of him now. If he stays though wr are definitely down. I don't think anyone is turning on anyone though. There's a lot of frustration about though and understandably so. COYL

Well, it surely can't get any worse can it? Maybe Bailey can add some authority in the middle. I've been saying for a couple of weeks that Williams has looked off the pace so this might be the time to drop him to the bench. With Norwich losing their last game and Grabban out we may be playing them at the right time. Anything is possible in this mental season

@junkmale: Wouldn't say off the pace, I think he's just been going through the motions (at the worst possible time!). Can't blame players like him who carry the team when they eventually are drained of effort and demotivated by consistently bad results. I reckon Fabbrini will get the hump soon too, for the same reasons

@junkmale: Grabban may be out but they have 2 other players who have scored 24 goals between them, our top 2 have scored 7 between them.

I was brought up to think if there's the smallest chance, no matter how minute then you have to go for it. If it turns out that we end up having to win every game remaining to stay up, then that's what we'll have to do. Fair play to Ian-if you love something like he says he loves the club then you stick by it and give everything to make it work.

We are Millwall, we don't just fold. Never say die.

We have one way to get out of our dire situation.
    PLAYER REBELLION.
What we need is the player's to have the courage to say to IH,sorry your way just aint working,so we are going to do it our way,and sort a way of playing that they think would suit the team.
    PLAYER REBELLION,that is the answer.
As you can see the word LION is within the word REBELLION,so lad's whatever 11 are on the pitch we need you to play like LION'S
And player's you have to go into the game with the NOLU we dont care attitude and us fan's will do the rest by getting 100% behind you,try to hide and you will lose our support.
Please 100% lad's and as our beloved prime minister say's( joke ),"WE ARE ALL IN IT TOGETHER"

Come on Millwall. We need this win not only for the fans (waiting 4 months for a win at home), but for our season as well. We win, we have a better chance of survival. We lose, we put ourselves in an even bigger hole to get out of. We need to see the Millwall of the back end of last season. Difficult opposition but who's to say we can't win today. Anything can happen in this league. COME ON WALL!!!!!!!!!!!

Nearly a whole page is dedicated to Holloway and Millwall in today's Mirror, it don't make pleasant reading, what a shambles the management are, as bad as the Tories. I cannot see IH pulling Millwall out of the mess he and his cohorts have taken our club. It is fair to say that the board have not given him adequate funds but nevertheless his absurd tactics, substitutions and recruitment has been woeful.
    He has to go.
I think the loyal supporters do deserve a home win only the players can do that. Stay optimistic if possible.

Another loss, more bulls.hit from the mental one and nearer to league one we head. Even if we win it won't paper over the cracks and won't put us on a run, just look at our goals scored record. With our injured players not returning we have no chance Imo. Of course I hope we stay up but I don't see how. It might be a gloomy post but that's how I feel.
