Video: Millwall's Onyedinma scores stunner for Wycombe

FRED Onyedinma scored his fifth goal for Wycombe on Satruday as his productive loan spell in League Two continued.

Onyedinma's strike against Carlisle –  a precise curling effort into the far corner – was undoubtedly his best for the Chairboys so far.

The 18-year-old will remain at Adams Park until the end of the season.

Another of Millwall's loanees, John Marquis, scored again for Gillingham at the weekend – his sixth goal in eight games.

        @Alex Aldridge:
        Any news on his contract Alex?
        I am really concerened that in the summer he will only have a year left and he will now be on the radar of lots of clubs with the form he is showing at his young age.
        We should of signed him up for longer before he went on loan and I dont understand why we haven't.

            That's what worries me.
            At least sign him up for longer and getter a really decent fee at the very worst.
            Fred is a special player and we need to get this contracted sorted asap.

      @danwaggy: Always good to know how our youth players are getting on. If Marquis keeps up this scoring record, I wouldn't be surprised if IH changes his mind about him. So suggesting this is pointless is a bit moronic to be honest....

        @jenks4: Holloway usually only changes his mind one way - bigging them up as invaluable to the team, then a few weeks later either dropping or selling them on. Fred's probably better off elsewhere at the moment than being here, where most players seem to go backwards under the current management.

          @Micky Lions: For the dislikers out there, please name all the players that have actually progressed under Holloway? I don't think any of the players he inherited have got any better and I'd be surprised if any of the 25 players he's signed improved under him. Let's be honest, the whole club seems to have gone backwards.

            @Micky Lions: hello micky
            I haven't disliked your comments but picking up on em I have to say allan dunne and you all know my opinion on him has stepped up quite a few times under ollie. Ollie has also put the kids in this season to give them vital 1st team experience and although he sometimes drops em after a couple games I think he's managed them pretty well. Sending Fred out was perfect for player and club. He signed Williams who I think is a better player than when he arrived, we've missed him when not available.
            I agree in part but the reality is we aren't in a position to get what's needed and there's also no guarantee that any signing will be any good.
            Just my opinion micky.

        Someone said Marquise wouldn't be a good enough Championship goalscorer. Well if we don't do something soon he could very well be playing against us next season!

    I watched Fred play a few games at the end of last season I thought he was good enough for the first team then I cant wait to get him back in a Millwall shirt next season hopefully in the championship , and can we please look at his contract now and not a few months before it finishes

      @mfc2u: I think it's catch 22. He is certainly a star for the future but all flair players need a lot of confidence. He needed to build up his strength and gain confidence, and keeping him in the championship would probably have hindered his growth. He's learning what he's capable of at MKD so when we get him back next season, he will be a much better player. Playing for us this season would only knock his confidence. Much the same could be said for marquis

        I hear that Geoff I also think if he was possibly playing under Olly he would like so many others be in and out of the team at least at Wycombe he is getting regular games but I also think the likes of him and nelson should be playing week in week out next season @Geoff the lion:

    Great to see Fred on the scoresheet again. Pleased for john to be scoring and looking happy playing, but hes already said he doesn't want to stay at Millwall now. so even if Holloway had a change of heart i don't think he would take it. I do see it coming back and biting us in the a*** one day as Gillingham will prob sign him, he'll score lots of goals and they'll sell him on to a championship club for loads of money.

      @wolla5: if they sell him to a championship team we won't need to worry as we'll be in league 1 next season. He will probably score a hatrick against us and IH will still probably be in charge and still spout off some rubbish about why we let him go and we'll still only playing one up front.

        @southlondon1885: Gillingham are 2 points off the play offs now. Wouldn't it be ironical if Marquis ended up a Championship player and we ended up a Division 1 team.

    I always look out for our loaned out players to see how they are coping John Marquis is still young and i think he could still do a job for us. as for Fred i think he should be playing for us NOW and the sooner we get him back the better.

    Good to see their goals Alex Bravo!!

    its like doing the same lottery numbers every weeek only to find that when they all come up you dont actually do them that week. Millwakl cant score a fking goal and the two we loaned out are scoring for fun. Its only ollie that cant see it cos every wall fan can see it ffs

      @DELBOY64:
      What can't he see? He can't recall either player due to loan agreements, so what's your point? Everyone used to s*** off marquis anyway! Bring up the article after norwich away and 99% of people were saying how he isn't good enough, go back and read it if you don't believe me. Now he's scored a few goals for gillingham, and FINALLY started scoring on a regular basis, he's meant to be our saviour!

        @82wall: have to agree with you 82. I think at that time most people had faith in the mental one so marquis got the brunt. Fact is that marquis wasn't good enough at that time, and will probably be a season or two away from what we want, but he's making good progress. The flip side is the ollie good thing ollie has done is loan him and Fred out, gaining valuable experience, until they return after the carrot cruncher gets kicked out

    i know we can't score for toffee but i do believe its the 100% right decision to let Fred stay on loan for the whole season. Getting him back here to be our 'saviour' just wouldn't happen and would end up doing the kid more harm then good. He's playing regularly in a winning team and learning every game. The longer he is out on loan there the better player he will be next season for us.

    Fred and Marquis are getting a run of games, all be it,
    in a lower league - great for their confidence.
    From that interview with Marquis, he didn't seem like he would
    jump through hoops to come back to Millwall and play under Holloway anyway.
    Fred's best coming back home when Holloway has gone,
    he will only be messed around, and have is confidence shot to pieces
    by the clueless one.

    @Menorca Millwall: signing potential better players should make others do better & improve there game if there serious about getting up the pecking order..or they can sulk and always be 2nd best..the fact hd will probably stay in pikey land says it all

    One part of me feels sorry for Marquis - he was poorly managed/developed by the club in my opinion. The other part thinks Marquis has finally found his level.
    Fred, on the other hand, is banging them in for fun at 18 years old, imagine the turn he will do us by the time he's in his 20's!

    defeat is not an option really against an average side going nowhere

    Rotherham will most probably lose tomorrow so even a draw should close the gap to two - not ideal, but we might have to take it

    by the sheer law of averages we have to win at home soon - teams do not go indefinitely without winning at home, even the relegated ones

      More worried about the away game to Rotherham lose that and we could be well adrift of safety.

    I think that Fred has definitely got something about him and is an exciting prospect while Marquis is honest as the day is long and always gives 100% but long term hasn't got it. He is having a purple patch now but he didn't pull up any trees in L2. Time will tell....

    i was one who said marquise aint good enough BUT he now has a run of games is also banging them in looks comfortable and is now full of confidence, you normally loan players out to give them game time so thats worked and more so whilst he is on a high get him back and shove him straight into the action and let him prove a point
