"Millwall did everything but score". That is the point of the game you doughnut, you score more goals than the opposition. If you dont score you cant win and you cant earn three points. Its not rocket science. A fat hasbeen is not going to help. We're down!

Cant see where the goals are going to come from. Ollie is not right to say the only thing missing was goals - whats missing is any intelligence in the final third. We never create a decent chance - and Gregory or any other forward in our league will need at least 4 actual goal scoring opportunities to get 1 goal - if they didnt need 4 opportunities and scored 1 in every 2 or 3 attempts then they'd be playing in the Prem. We look very strong now which is great - and we'll nick a few one nils but worried that it wont be enough. I dont understand why, if you're going to play for crosses like we did, you dont start with fuller and hoff. Fuller is our best centre forward - even with his shot that went over the stand. Hence why I'm worried.
Dan Harding was very good yesterday. Him and Jimmy were great. Dunney looks good alongside Jos too. Fab was his usual tricky self. Gregory worked hard as always but didnt look like scoring. Tonge gave it away too often but got better as the game went on. Lots of positives - but we need some runs into space. As good as Fab is- he cant hit a shot cleanly so the goals wont come from him. Worried also that he holds the ball too long which is a killer for centre forwards. I saw Fuller ripping him to bits yesterday for not putting the ball into the box.
As for the new tubby fella up front - Gary two names - he looked like he might just have the intelligence we need. Didnt quite work for him yesterday but the passes he tried to make were the right ones. But if he can play, how fat must Maggie be now? ha #maggielovescake

37 crosses, 0 of them being even remotely close to being successful

@mfclions: Cannot agree with none of the crosses were any good looked, the miss by Gregory in the first half was easier to score than miss and with his reputation from Halifax just the type of goal you would expect him to get but he was in the right position and I think as soon as he starts scoring the confidence builds and hence stops rushing chances he will be OK. a lot of early crosses were to close to the keeper but I also think the day was set up for the Hoff and a big ariel threat even if he did not jump, Fulham would have at least needed to stay close to him and left more space for Fab and Gregory. The game seem to pass Taylor Fletcher by but you can excuse that for the first game and only on for ten minutes, Fuller was hopeless but got in good positions so I am happy to call that just an off day at the office, unfortunately we do have many more games that we can afford to have bad days.
To those who liked my nephew and son going to the Den he absolutely loved it especially the humour when the Fulham fans thought they had scored and we mocked them. Definitly another poor sucker destined for a football life of disappointment with the occasional bit of elation thrown in to keep him coming back. He wears his new MFC cap with pride. When he got home he played Millwall v Sheffield on a video thingy we won 3-0.
