Brilliant reaction header by Dunne. He had to re-adjust quickly and control it. Top header.
First save by Forde was top draw. Other valuable ones too.
Lovely 1-2 return pass from the Hoff for Woolford's unlucky effort.
Nice balance to the side. Let's keep it going.
Oh and well done the manager for sticking with certain players. He got his reward last night.
    Up The Wall.

Saturday's loss was terrible. I've become a little disillusioned about IH, but reflecting on 4 games with what many call "his team", then we have kept 3 clean sheets, won 2 and drawn 1. I wonder what others make of it?

@SE14: This is now beginning to look like a different team. Of course there is still much to do. Some more striking options are needed and no doubt Ollie will be working hard on this in the loan window. I was gutted after Saturday, as was everyone. But if we can start to turn things around at home as well as away then we will be changing places with Charlton before very long. Stick with Ollie. He has a plan and it may now just be starting to work.

@Canterbury pilgrim: hoping we've already got some players lined up for 2moro.. Winger to replace Paris for the time being and of course, a striker... Maynard perhaps...? Heard his name mentioned quite a bit recently...
P.s. Well done wall, great win lastnight and hats off to the lads that went up there. 2 wins, a loss and a draw, not bad for a new set of players. With the above additions, consistency 'should' follow... COYL.

@Canterbury pilgrim: Do you think it is all about needing striking options? From the games I do get to watch, I hardly ever see wing overlaps getting to the very by-line and crossing in from there. I've seen two games with Hof this season and he very often gets drawn to the wings himself, lays it off and runs back into the box again hoping for a cross. Where are the wing overlaps?

@SE14: Good post !! Need to start using the wings , the Hoff as you say often has to go and get the ball and then has to give a pass and then start to get back up front. He does a lot of good work which often goes unnoticed

@SE14: Yeah, I've been thinking about that as well. 7 point from a possible 12 is pretty good. If we can keep that up we will finish mid table on around 58 points. Of course, it won't be that straightforward, but there are enough green shoots to be optimistic

Very unlucky there for Woolford! Shame, would've been a boost to his confidence! Dunney very good reactions for the goal. Looked like we created more chances than them, looks positive at the minute.

Good win, but won't mean a thing if we lose to Leeds, need to string wins together and get the home form going, take a draw Saturday at the most ,but wins is the name of the game now!!.

@aeojt: It's not a must win at all is it really. We always lose up there and win down here. We have managed to condense the table with the BCFC result, that for me was a bonus and the bigger games ahead are MUST WINS.

On that pitch was at least 9 million pounds worth of players and that's just from 2 of them in Fabbrini (4 million) Millwall and Gray (5 million) Birmingham. Great stuff and great result. Dunne is reborn again, Forde also playing more like his old self there. Now for the hard part - consistency in performances from all the team. Still need a quality striker or 2 when the loan window opens though.

@SE17 Lion: To be fair we ahve been a bit lucky with our wins. Forest hit the post twice and Birmingham once. However, we created a load of chances in the last couple of games, so it looking good. Now tha the confidence of the team has returned I think Woolie could be a key player for us in the run-in.

@junkmale: you could say the same thing about us though hitting the woodwork in a number of games. Really happy we won last night, but not getting carried away yet. Lets focus on Dirty Leeds and hopefully grab another 3 points.

Welcome as this rare win was I would not get carried away, Birmingham still found a way through Millwall's defence but for once luck was on our side. We need to get a run of good results to climb up the table and that means a good forward or two. Still this win hopefully will give the team confidence and help put the bad results behind them. Just hope Holloway does not start to muck about with the team again.

( Great Escape Music Intro, and play under).....Hopefully, Fabbrini will add goals to his trickery, and the defence hold out against Weeds Utd. On the whole, these (sometimes lucky) clean sheets will be vital in the run in, as it will probably come down to goal difference! Lucky for us the five teams above are having problems scoring too! So, come on you Lions, grab the moment, and lets have another Great Escape!

It's weird when we lose we normally have about 80 posts by now slagging the team, dunney, holloway, any fans that don't agree with your posts. Shame on you.

I don't like commenting if I was not there but what a result! I sense a Gibbs influence on the selection. Nothing but good comes from this stops making Holloway playing a new formation every week
