Wilkinson returns to Stoke following end of Millwall spell

ANDY Wilkinson's loan spell with Millwall has ended and the right back has returned to parent club Stoke City.

The Lions do not intend to re-sign Wilkinson, whose three-month stint in SE16 was hampered firstly by suspension and then by a back problem.

The 30-year-old made nine appearances in total for Ian Holloway's side but has featured just once since the turn of the year.

Holloway had planned to keep Wilkinson for the the rest of the season until the defender suffered a back spasm against Bournemouth.

Millwall brought in Shaun Cummings from Reading last week and he looks set to be the club's first-choice right back for the remainder of the campaign.

Think We have following players coming to end of contract between May-July Edwards,Fuller,Gueye, briggs, martinez,Mcdonald.woolford, hoyte, chaplow, abdou, marquis, goodman, shittu, bailey, beevers, king and not sure how long Dunne has on his contract.
Would imagine Briggs,Martinez, hoyte, chaplow, marquis, are the next out of the door.Dont think Mcdonald, woolford, shittu, fuller, king will be offered new contracts. Can see Rotherham buying Beevers for a nominal fee.Doubt whether Bailey will be kept on due to injuries .Can see Edwards (injury permitting),Gueye, abdou, goodman offered new contracts.
Personally would rather the young kid Siafa as a back up to Cummins than Dunne.

@foresthill: Yes, that looks about right to me. I have a feeling Dunne's contract also expires this summer. Can anyone confirm?

Yes in youth games and in friendley v mallorca.

I liked him, think he has potential, athletic, decent in tackle and good positional sense.

@spartacus: It's only until 10th April thru he resumes full control. It's ridiculous they deem him dishonest so disqualify him from running his club but come April he dlr of a sudden becomes honest. What a joke.
But we have our own problems that need a very quick fix.

@lukesmithmfc: Not gonna be popular for this, but its ridiculous that he is being accused of being not fit and proper when we are talking about paying tax on a yacht, which I believe he has now paid. It that happened to our chairman I would think we were being stitched up. I don't blame Leeds fans for being p***** off about it.

Bomber & Scott are doing a great job with the u21 , there 3 or 4 boys that next year will be ready as back up for first team , then we can get rid of so called called first team players , who are on plenty of money , saving the club a fortune in wages , bring back Fred and goodman , and then we have a decent amount of cover that are as good as the wage thieves if not better .
