ANDY Wilkinson's loan spell with Millwall has ended and the right back has returned to parent club Stoke City.

The Lions do not intend to re-sign Wilkinson, whose three-month stint in SE16 was hampered firstly by suspension and then by a back problem.

The 30-year-old made nine appearances in total for Ian Holloway's side but has featured just once since the turn of the year.

Holloway had planned to keep Wilkinson for the the rest of the season until the defender suffered a back spasm against Bournemouth.

Millwall brought in Shaun Cummings from Reading last week and he looks set to be the club's first-choice right back for the remainder of the campaign.
