Video: Millwall loanee hits third goal in a row for Wycombe

FRED Onyedinma scored his third goal in as many matches for loan club Wycombe Wanderers in a 1-1 draw with Bury on Saturday.

In snowy conditions, the 18-year-old showed great strength to hold off his marker before sending a clinical finish into the roof of the net.

I wished Millwall put a recall clause in his loan contract! We could really do with him right now! I'd pick him over Martyn Woolford all day long...

Keep this scoring rate up any you'll be a prolific striker!

@333lions: This is exactly my fear as well. That he does so well a bloated Prem club comes along buys up one of our prized young assets and then let's them disappear in their youth side only to see daylight again years later by being loaned out to a lower league club again. I hate that.

It does feel like we are on the verge of a number of youngsters breaking into our first team side from the youth. Last time we had that was when Rhino and McClearly were joint managers 15 odd years ago. That set us up for a number of years after. Speaking of Millwall youth what ever happen to our two highly rated young goalkeepers, I think one was 6ft 6' Sam Walker who went to Chelsea and another was a lad just as tall and was a young Turkish international I think. Could do with one of them back to be our new number one and the future lifeblood of the club

@Bexley_Lion: Yeah and we would probably let him go for hundred grand. He will never see our first team.

Keep going Fred - you could be a star in the making! Let's hope it's with the Lions next season.

Best thing we could of done is loan him out. Some saying we should of kept him but playing for a team that is winning every week and top of the league is a much better experience than playing for a team that can't even score.

Our only problem is if we can actually keep hold of him next season. Lot of clubs will have him being watched. Just hope he continues to progress into a starter for us as he is probably the biggest talent we've had in a long time.

I really hope that whilst players are coming and going that Fred's contract is being looked at. Not sure how long it is, but we must not have him in the last two years of a contract. Give him a four year contract now and he'll sign it. If we wait until next season he may have his head turned.

I think we have just found that pacy striker we have all been looking for. I know he can play on the wing but with his pace can defo get in behind and score goals

I also think the loan was a good move, he now has the mentality that he will score every game back at the Den our strikers are currently in the we will not score mentality. If he comes back we that attitude it can only be good for us.

If Wycombe get promoted Fred might want to stay there? If Millwall say no he may want to leave anyway. Lets hope we welcome him back with open arms and include him in the team on a regular basis. Especially against Wycombe in League 1

Fred has looked good in every game we have played him in. I could not believe we let him go at all. I honestly think his hunger and desire are seriously lacking from many players in our squad. When we get him back we could build our squad around him, especially if we're in league 1. With him, Nelson and Goodman to name but three the future does look bright.

I hate to say this but I don't think that at the moment Gregory is gonna make it with us, he too may need to go out on loan to Wycombe our some other high flying lower league side to get used to banging them in again.
