DIEGO Fabbrini is poised to join Millwall on loan from Watford for the rest of the season.

The Lions have agreed a deal with the Hornets for the 24-year-old, who met with Ian Holloway for talks earlier this week.

Fabbrini is training with Watford this morning but is expected to link up with his new teammates on Friday.

A versatile attacking player, the one-time Italy international can play on the left or the right wing, or in an advanced midfield position behind a lone striker.

Fabbrini came through the youth academy at Empoli and made over 50 appearances for their first team before he was snapped up by Udinese for over £3million.

He went on loan to Palermo before moving to Watford in July 2013.

Fabbrini has made 29 appearances for the Hornets since then and spent time on loan at Siena last season.

What's also so incredibly frustrating is that we have been in a similar mess like this before, before JB and AA got here, back in the days of Dave Tuttle, Colin Lee, Spackman and... Ray Hartford... Oh hang on!... Jackett did a fantastic job in clearing the decks, changing the club from top to bottom but must of realised something was up, maybe he had enough of the Board not showing real ambition when we hear from the likes of Berylson and Ambler saying "Oh we could of sign Austin but..." "Yes we matched the asking price for Chris Wood but..." Kenny probably thought forget it I need to go to a club with real ambition not this crap of constantly scavenging the barging bin for players nobody else wants, and who can blame him.

I think JB is a great guy for what he has done for us and is extremely likeable, doesn't b******* and wears his heart on his sleeve but in all seriousness who at board level is an actual footballing person? Real inside knowledge of the game, Who? Not "I went to see 2 or 3 other bigger clubs to see how they do things" Ambler nor JB's friends and family on the board. I understand about the need to have a Director of Football or Head of Scouting or whatever the title AA prefers at the club to actually steer the whole thing in the right direction. Since Barry Fry become the Director of Football at Peterborough they have been unearthing gems and selling players for an absolute fortune. What are we doing instead? Giving our better players (I use that term loosely) away and signing up yet more over the hill rubbish and looking to bring in loans for players who have rubbish scoring records like Church or this other bloke from Watford Diego Fabbrini, we just don't seem to learn at all!!

I just can't believe the board are more than happy to sit back and watch this, why don't JB come out publically and say something, anything. He was quick to do so on the Regen stuff but what about the footballing side of things? Results on the pitch, let us know his thoughts on this bleak situation, over 3 years now of being served disappointment like this now. Where's the Delia Smith's "Lets be avin you" moment! from him. Give us a war cry JB, just shut Olly up please.

@les the lion: Just what we need another fing winger when what is required to give us a fighting chance of staying in the Championship is someone who can find the net more than 4 times a season & someone who can marshal the defence and stop the avalanche of goals that we are conceding week in week out.
