Millwall boss: Forest loanee can earn permanent Den stay

IAN Holloway has revealed that a permanent contract could be on the horizon for Dan Harding, who joined Millwall on loan from Nottingham Forest this week.

Harding is due to become a free agent in the summer so Holloway will use the left-back's temporary spell with the Lions to size him up for a longer stay.

"He's got all the qualities that I look for in a full back and he's got the experience," Holloway said of Harding.

"I think the fans will like him – and he hasn't played for a club that they hate, which will give him a head start!

"I think he will be trying to earn a contract here and that's the right start.

"The reason I haven't given him a contract yet is because we're only paying a portion of his wages. As a player, I would take him now.

"I'm going to have to convince him that he likes me and he likes us, but I think Dan will be a great fit."

I'm surprised he still fit, mind you he's got to step off the team bus yet.

A great fit! Ffs, anybody able to kick the ball in the opposite direction to OUR goal is a fu;?ing legend. Lets scour the whole of the 92 and pick up all the dross available and really pi$$ everybody off. Blackpool to beat us saturday. We are well and truly up the creek wivout a paddle. Rant over.

I read in the slp that we might b looking at Freddie sears but holloway doesnt want him because of his playing history. Maybe holloway is referencing this.

@spartacus: would agree if he had spent most of his career with the spanners but to reject a prospective signing because he had a youth career with our rivals is nonsense. Lad is on form, the right age and wouldn't have to up root his life to come to us... Worth a proper look?!

I remember similar talk when we signed Briggs.
