JAKE Goodman's loan deal with AFC Wimbledon is set to be extended.

The Dons want to keep Goodman until the end of the season and Millwall boss Ian Holloway is happy for the defender to stay with Neal Ardley's side.

Since the 21-year-old moved to Kingsmeadow, the League Two club have won four of their last five games.

"It's been brilliant for me here so far," Goodman told the Dons' club website last week. "My loan is up after the Liverpool game on January 6.

"I want to play as many games as possible and if I cannot get in at Millwall then hopefully it will be extended."

I hope this isn't an precursor to him leaving, he has real potential and could be a Millwall player for many years to come.

      @glyngo: rest easy Glyn
There's absolutely no chance of jake leaving permanently.
This is a great deal for club and player it keeps him away from the Orrible lot we need to get rid of. His confidence is sky high at the minute and afc really like him so it's a no brainer. Next season we should see at least 3 of the kids starting regularly for us. Jake and sid at the back and Powell in the middle with Williams. Things are looking bright in the youth department at least

Good experience for what looks like a decent young player. Getting regular competitive football can only be a good thing, means he is learning rather then going stale in the reserve team... Hopefully we get rid of the crap high earners and give youth a chance next year. IMO all our first team centre backs are not good enough.
Shittu (hasn't the legs, only going to get worse)
Beevers (league one, should have let him go to Rotherham)
Dunne (wasn't even a championship standard right back and too small at centre half)
Webster (might improve but not good enough so far, and team he played in last year got relegated?)

New experienced proper centre half please with intent to play alongside Sid&Jake next season!!

What has gone wrong with webster,as i understand it he had a choice of three clu's and chose us,he was a useful player at yeovil even though they went down,i think it is a confidence thing, same with Brigg's,i cant beleve how low on confidence these two are ,i still say IH over complicate's thing's and the player's are not up to it,im sure if we played more direct to our forward's, i e three or four passes forward instead of 6,7,or 8 pass's sideway's the team on the whole would benefit, after all if the player's were capable of playing the arsenal, man city, chelsea way we would not be able to afford them.

@Jim28: Hopefully the future won't involve Forde. At the moment he has no competition so he doesn't feel the need to be on top of his game.

Players I'd like to see leave IMO:

Beevers - What has happened to him, I thought at one point he'd be a major player during this season.

Wright- Belongs in league, so hopefully orient take him

Hoyte - He's not even being played so why is he at the club?

Shittu - Has one good game every once in a while and raves about him but honestly he is past it now and TOO SLOW.

Bywater - Just go, unless he has come back 10x the player he was when he left. Which I doubt.

    Dunne - Not good enough

Never seen Goodman play, but from that photo he's the oldest looking 21 year-old ever.
