Millwall reject Cardiff City bid for out-of-contract Malone

MILLWALL have turned down a bid from Cardiff City for Scott Malone.

As first revealed by NewsAtDen, the Bluebirds are long-term admirers of the left back and firmed up their interest with a concrete offer in the last 48 hours.

Malone is out-of-contract in the summer and there have been no talks about an extension to his deal at The Den, so Cardiff are hoping to nab him for a cut-price fee.

But their opening bid of around £75,000 has been rejected.

Because of Malone's contractual situation, there is a limit to how much he will command in the January transfer window.

As a result, it is understood the Lions would be more inclined to part with the 23-year-old if Cardiff offered a player in exchange for him.

Tbh I thought this was a done deal.

IMO one of our better players but certainly replaceable.

@bonnie1272: I respect a lot of people like him but I'm happy he's gone, don't get me wrong he was lively but he wasn't actually the best defensively and when he was attacking it didn't end up coming too much, looked like he done a lot but in reality he was s***, and Jesus he was terrible at crossing couldn't lift the fuckkng ball.

Maybe I'm just being critical though cos I think everyone there is useless at the minute haha.
