Exclusive: Millwall to make January swoop for Wycombe star

WYCOMBE winger Paris Cowan-Hall is set to become Millwall's first January signing.

The Lions are refusing to comment but NewsAtDen understands that a fee has been agreed for the 24-year-old and talks over personal terms are well advanved.

Cowan-Hall, who has scored five goals in his last six games for the Chairboys, was spotted having a medical at The Den on Tuesday.

Fred Onyedinma's loan deal at Wycombe is likely to be extended until the end of the season as part of the deal.

Boss Ian Holloway identified Cowan-Hall as a possible target when the Lions played Gareth Ainsworth's side in the Capital One Cup in August.

He is a pint-sized, right-sided winger with a searing burst of pace and has been in excellent goal-scoring form this term.

Millwall have been able to snap up the former Portsmouth trainee for a relatively low sum because he is out-of-contract in the summer.

Holloway has shopped for a winger at Adams Park before, having taken Matt Phillips from Wycombe to Blackpool in 2010.

An official announcement could be made before the weekend.

    The kid is quick and knows where the goal is and has a bit of attitude,in a good way. worth a punt as the fee is low. Just hope he gets a chance and we all give him time. If true then good luck son and welcome to Millwall.

    A winger with pace, a good start.
    The way Wycombe defended that free kick should make the lad feel
    at home with our defence.

    Like what I see, step in the right direction and can't be worse than what we have got? A proven forward has to be the next priority and possibly a solid defender.. If Bailey can get fit and stay fit could be like a new signing too!! Like to see the deadwood sold/released also. Happily say good bye to half the squad if I'm honest!!

      @davesavagesleftfoot:
      Every team wants a proven forward mate, however most teams won't sell anyone under contract who is scoring them goals at this stage of the season. I wouldn't complain if we took a little punt on another Gregory (lower league goal scorer) who is hungry to prove a point and step up a level.

        @82wall: Exactly what I was thinking mate, not expecting a proven championship player. Ideally someone who is doing well in league one, the lad on loan from arsenal would make me happy!! Results went our way last night, important we switch on and do a job at Blackpool now!!
