Preview: Norwich City vs. Millwall

MARK Beevers and Ed Upson are available for Millwall's Boxing Day clash with Norwich City after recovering from illness.

The duo missed last Friday's defeat to Bolton but have since returned to training.

Scott Malone is a doubt for the Lions with a hip complaint. The left back had a scan on the problem yesterday and might not be risked at Carrow Road.

Lee Martin, who made his comeback from a toe injury against Bolton, came through that substitute appearance unscathed and could start.

Boss Ian Holloway has also confirmed that Jimmy Abdou may return to the side.

But Nicky Bailey (calf) and Carlos Edwards (knee) are definitely out.

Norwich will be without Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, who has a knee injury.

Midfielder Alex Tettey is also a minor doubt for manager Neil Adams.

@les the lion: malone don't want to be here, the amount of times he has turned to the dockers and told us to f*** off when he hasn't got back to defend. He thinks he's something special I reckon give briggs a run in the team may become a solid unit at the back

Cant see a win not if we cant beat bolton, narwich are much stronger and have pace and goal in them. But hey lets hope we can win cause it could be a good confidence boost. Good luck Wall.

Was it not last Boxing Day after the 4-0 at Watford that Lomas left ?
Similar result will not mean the same thing happening though.

@Longfield Lion: I just had a look at the write-up after that match (http://www.newsatden.co.uk/29699-report-watford-4-0-millwall.html) and there's not one supporter speaking up in Lomas's defence. I'm not sure if we've learnt any lessons from this time last year. Fingers crossed we'll get something from Norwich, but personally I'll feel even more despondent than last Boxing Day if we have a similar sort of defeat tomorrow.

@Micky Lions: last season I think a lot of us where expecting a heavy defeat to Watford but suspected the silver lining would be that it would spell the end of Lomas.

@MFC Lion: By learning lessons, I meant the club and not the fans who are resigning themselves to yet another miserable fight against relegation.

This hurts, but I can see a 5-0 mauling. Our side needs a major overhaul or its div. 1 for us.

@wallchef: It will not be a 5-0 mauling Wall but we will need to score 2 to get something IMO, there will be lots going out from our squad, only a couple coming in Jan so depending on the quality IH brings in will dictate where we finish, still think some teams in the top half will start to drop into the relegation battle

@Weller: Not counting on much coming in if he is moaning about the amount of money Abdou is on. Looks like we will be offering peanuts again and you know what that gets you. Anyway fingers crossed.

@wallchef: Remember the 6-1 defeat with Granville in goal? We went mental when we pulled the one goal back. The difference then was despite a few duff players we knew we had a good side under George Graham as manager. I think we bounced back to win the next game 5-0 - happy days.

I am at the stage of taking nil-nil against any team in 10th place or higher, beating any team in 15th place and down 1-1nil and ugly. Just securing survival is the priority.
