Justin Hoyte made available for transfer by Millwall boss

JUSTIN Hoyte has been told to find he can find a new club by Millwall boss Ian Holloway.

The right back has made just seven appearances since joining the Lions last November.

Hoyte was challenged to improve his fitness levels in the summer after failing to get into Holloway's squad during the second half of last season.

He briefly returned to the fold in September, coming on as a sub at Huddersfield before starting the following game against Birmingham, but has not been involved since.

The 29-year-old, who recently returned from international duty with Trinidad Tobago, is still training with the club but has been made available for transfer.

Holloway feels that the defender is not a good match for Millwall, and vice versa, so will help him to secure a move elsewhere.

"I have told Hoytey he can go – I don't think that this club is right for him," Holloway told the Southwark News.

"I really feel for him because he has worked hard for me and done everything that I have asked of him, but I don't think this club is a good fit for him.

"We shouldn't waste his time or mine. I want him to get a club and we'll do what we can for him to get him fixed up.

"I feel that he signed for the wrong club, having come from Arsenal and Middlesbrough – he hasn't connected with the crowd and that’s not his fault.

"It is harsh but both parties have to move on. If we get another injury at right back, I am prepared to promote Josh Siafa from my U21s."

@darrenhales: I think Ollie's comment may be made to up-sell a player he wants to move on. If he said that full truth, how many buyers do you think he would have knocking at his door. Far as I am concerned, Ollie can call him the next Ronaldo, if it brings buyers then we benefit.

Thank fxck for that. I must ask though how on earth did he get into an international squad I would've thought even San Marino would turned him down for the local locksmith.

Who do they think will come in for him and want to pay him as much as us mugs are shelling out every week. If and thats hard to see, if he does go I bet we still pick up a slice of his wages untill he is out of contract.

I think the most important thing to take from this report is that Ollie is ready to promote Siafa if we have any more injuries, this is the kind of thing our club should be doing, giving our youngsters the chance to play, rather than getting an arsenal or Tottenham youngster in.
