Holloway: Millwall have to be careful with Martin after injury

LEE Martin returned to full training as planned this week but manager Ian Holloway says the winger will not be rushed back into competitive action after an injury lay-off.

Martin has been sidelined since damaging knee ligaments at the start of September.

But he could be in the squad for tomorrow's home clash with Wolves – although Holloway's comments suggest the 27-year-old is unlikely to start.

"Lee has been joining in with the group," Holloway revealed.

"He was always on course to come back this week but we've got to be careful with him. It will be nice to have him back and he's looked good.

"The lads have had a bit of a break and now they're looking sharp in training. We've been doing extended and double sessions – working on our finishing and crossing – gearing up for the weekend."

I'd swap him for Henry any day of the week, at least Henry produced the goods this guy flatters to deceive and has produced very little and is in the same category as Chaplow and Bailey yet another Tampax player.

Martinez around at all? Is bailey injured or not who even knows anymore? Gueye is he fit yet, can he play 90 minutes? F*** sake, let's sign ethrington another unfit player, he'll save the day! What a load a s***.

As if martins gonna set the world alight when he's finally fit AGAIN, probably get injured again around Christmas.

@conor: Considering Ollie keeps going on about the importance of fitness levels we must have about the most unfit squad in the division (Kids not included in this comment). Players signed and still not available for selection 2-3 months later, players who spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch wtf is going on. Does anyone actually look at the playing record of these players or just read the CV the agents supply. JB must despair at the way his money is being wasted.

What is it with players nowadays ?
When I watched Millwall in the early 70`s,players hardly missed a game.
They were built to last themdays unlike the waifs of today.
