DAVID Forde made a string of vital saves as the Republic of Ireland snatched a dramatic draw with World Cup holders Germany on Tuesday night.
The Millwall goalkeeper kept out shots from Julien Draxler, Lukas Podolski, Karim Bellarabi and Toni Kroos to keep the game scoreless until the 71st minute.
Forde was cruelly beaten when Real Madrid's Kroos scored with a shot off the inside of the post after the defence in front of him backed off.
The 34-year-old then made a crucial block to deny Mario Götze a second goal, racing off his line to deflect the attacker's effort over the bar (pictured).
Ireland equalised in the final minute through John O'Shea.
