DANNY Shittu could be recalled to the Millwall side for tomorrow's trip to Derby as the Lions seek to end a run of five games without a win.

Boss Ian Holloway confirmed that Shittu is "back in the fold" and would be in the squad that travelled to the Midlands on Friday.

Aiden O'Brien, Sid Nelson and Jack Powell were also scheduled to be on the team bus, while a late decision was to be taken on Fred Onyedinma, who has been ill.

Lee Gregory is set to continue in attack after scoring his first Lions goal in midweek.

But striker Mathias Ranegie will miss out with a hamstring tear while Lee Martin and Carlos Edwards (both knee) are sidelined.

Derby are close to full strength with only Jake Buxton and Simon Dawkins missing because of hip problems.

That was the problem by making Dunne captain.
If he has to play it would have to be right back for me and that looks like happening tomorrow with Danny back.
I predict a lions victory by one goal and Gregory on target again.
Would be a great feeling going into the International break with the return of Kenny and Wolves up next.
        Come on Wall.

Been on a crash diet, down to 25 stone!

Must be better than Dunne in that berth.

@Glasshalffull: I hear Shittu is replacing Ranegie up front to give us an aerial threat in the area for Gregory to feed off.

A fit Shittu will do very nicely. Wth Dunne at right back I expect, so he'll probably get sent off and give away a penalty

If defences can work out that dunne is exposed int he air, how long will it take them to work out that shittu is exposed on the floor. Expect lots of channel balls as they try to catch Shittu on the hop and Dunne having to cover him. Having said that, Dunne/Shittu/Beevers in a 3 CB formation is interesting.....

@glyngo: Prefer to see Webster in there, he may not be the finished article yet but he never will be sitting on the bench and has a lot more to offer than Dunne or Shittu who are at the end of their usefulness other than back ups.

I don't see this as bad news - as long as Danny is ready, he might be just what we need. Been getting done in the air far too much and this is Danny's speciaility. Plus, it's kind of a natural move to make in getting some stability back into the back 4 - with Carlos unfortunately injured - Dunne back into RB - Shittu and Beevers in CB - pretty much the old Jackett guard (groans...) but at least they have plenty of experience playing together.
But we've got to grind out a result today - and defend as a TEAM - that's how we turned the tide last season, everybody covered for each other and in that respect, we've took a bit of backward step of late..
I'm positive for today though - if we approach the game in the right way and come out fighting, we're capable of beating anyone. COYL!!
    p.s. GO GREGORY!!

Stand by for 'it's not Danny's fault that he's not match fit' quotes after the game. If he plays I can see him having an adrenalin fueled stormer, but he's not the long term solution.
