ALFIE Pavey has joined Conference leaders Barnet on a 28-day youth loan.

The striker, 18, will be eligile to play for Millwall's U21s side during that time.

But Pavey is going straight into the Bees' squad for their game against Forest Green Rovers tomorrow and could make the first senior appearance of his career.

Speaking to Barnet's official site, Pavey said: "I'm really looking forward to it. It is obviously my first loan so I can't wait to get started and get down to it.

"I'm hoping to learn from some of the more experienced players and see if I can bring some of the qualities that they have in their game into mine.

"It should be a great experience for me playing against bigger, stronger players and working on my hold-up play.

"The first training session today went well.

"It is a nice little ground here and I've heard that they get a decent crowd, so hopefully I can get some game time and get myself on the scoresheet."

Apologies Southstandview. Pressed the dislike by mistake. Lack of sleep.
      Love the bees knees.

@DELBOY64: agree mate.our strikers are s*** so give this lad a go, don't loan him to someone else! Please nobody tell me he needs experience, if he's good enough, he's old enough and when are experienced pros are not doing the business then give him a go!

@dpendet: Absolutely agree, got to be better than the sh*t up front at the moment. Young, keen and hungry and full of energy.

I agree our strikers are not scoring but we aren't exactly creating a hat-full of chances each game either.
Can't say they have been missing loads. We need to create more.

Unless he hits the ground running can't see the point in a 28 day loan.
