JIMMY Abdou wants to follow up on his impressive performance at right-back against Nottingham Forest when Millwall play Huddersfield Town tomorrow.
The Lions favourite earned rave reviews after his display in the back four last weekend.
But Abdou isn't about to rest on his laurels.
"I think when someone plays well you can forget old games," he said.
"There are a few other games in my mind which I think I played well in. It's different because the fans never saw me at right back before, playing like that and against Antonio.
"It's like my first game again! That will stay in the fans’ memories because they’re used to seeing me in midfield.
"I'm glad the fans were happy with my performance and that's what I want every game.
"The fans have supported me and been behind me ever since I came to Millwall and Saturday was no different.
"I think they saw the difficulty of the situation and that I tried to do well for the team. But I have to follow up that performance against Huddersfield this weekend."
Abdou has featured in seven of Millwall’s ten games so far this season, having played only six times following Holloway’s appointment last year.
"I try to improve every year," he added ."I didn’t play much last season but I was still training and the manager gave me confidence and improved me a lot.
"He's helping me every day and I’m using that to do well in games. I came back this summer with a real hunger to prove that I can still do the job.
"The manager has seen that and given me the opportunity to play."
