Preview: Millwall vs. Nottingham Forest

SHAUN Williams and Nicky Bailey could return to the Millwall squad for Saturday's visit of table-topping Nottingham Forest to The Den.

Williams missed the midweek defeat to Reading with a dead leg but has returned to training and will undergo a late fitness test.

Bailey, who has been limited to just one appearance so far this campaign because of a calf strain, is also back in full training.

Martyn Woolford and Mark Beevers picked up knocks at the Madejski Stadium but manager Ian Holloway expects them to feature.

Lee Martin (knee) and Lee Gregory (hip) will miss out, while midfielder Angel Martinez could be kept waiting for his first appearance in a Lions shirt.

"Bailey trained on Thursday and Friday last week and he's now had a full week of training in his legs," Holloway said.

"I don't know but he might be up for selection.

"Martinez played the other day for the U21s but he's got to liven up a bit. He should know what I do but it's been over two years since I coached him so he'll need a bit of time.

"He's been training with Gerona and the training they do isn't anything like what we do. One he gets his family over here and settles down, then I'll get him more involved."

Forest quarter Chris Cohen, Andy Reid, Jack Hobbs and Matty Fryatt are all injured.

But star striker Britt Assombalonga, who bagged a hat-trick against Fulham on Wednesday, will continue in attack.

We dont do things because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win,

Normally the strikers that are on fire in the league don't do s*** against us! Sneaky 1-0 win for us I think!

Martin and Gregory aside, with Williams and Bailey back, this game gives Ollie the opportunity to play what he considers to be his best eleven. Going to be interesting to see what he comes up with. Going to be a tough game but eternally optimistic we'll get some points.

looks like a disappointing attendance tomorrow

club publicising 10000 sold that includes 2000 of them - don't know why we are struggling to sell tickets - lets hope we get the Saturday trade because if we can't sell tickets for top of the table game when will we sell them - i know it has always been like this, but if folk don't start coming more regularly , where can we go

I suspect a lot of people still dont believe we are serious enough in trying to impose ourselves on this league. They have seen the farce surrounding Gregory, and whilst many of us still believe in our beloved Wall there are still a lot of doubters. It lies firmly in the hands of Ollie and players to convince them otherwise.

I know what you are saying potty BUT why have we got to be contenders for those same people who showed up for Leeds to show again - we were not contenders when we played Leeds - show up for the game , win lose or draw - we have to show forest we are up for it - they have a potent strikeforce but can be got at, at the back we need the belief in the crowd from the outset that we can beat these- because we can - with this squad we can beat anyone in this division on our day and you can't say that about teams of the past - so what do people need convincing about - what comes first is us as a club and stop finding excuses not to attend - enough said - we know even 9000 of us can get the job done if we are together tomorrow - get stuck into them early - I think this is a pivotal game - beat forest and who can't be convinced we can't beat anyone - NO EXCUSES

We will win today, not hope we will win, we will win, I have a good feeling after all the doom and gloom of two poor away results, but not two poor away performances, I will go even more Mystic Meg with a Fuller to score again prediction. That will then give us all a bit of a lift and give us confidence in a mid table position at the end of the season ready for a bit of a push next year.
