Millwall have to impose themselves on Forest – Holloway

MILLWALL boss Ian Holloway wants his side to approach Saturday's contest with league leaders Nottingham Forest in a positive frame of mind.

The Lions are looking to end a difficult week, in which they have lost back-to-back games, on a high with three points over Stuart Pearce's table-toppers.

Holloway has told his players "not to be critical" of themselves after Tuesday's 3-2 defeat at Reading – and instead relish the challenge Forest will pose at The Den

"We've got to impose our game on them, which is going to be tough," Holloway said.

"They beat Reading 4-0 a couple of weeks ago, so we'll see how we go.

"I've got a fantastic record against Forest and with a bit of luck hopefully that will continue, if luck has anything to do with it.

"I think we've made giant strides but we've still got to do better.

"All of my players were terrific in midweek apart from one or two silly things that we got wrong. I've reminded them of how proud I am.

"My lads have got to realise that and keep going. When I read the match stats, I know we didn't deserve to lose that game. But we did, so it's how you deal with it.

"I don't think we've got big issues, I really don't. That's seven games now and we've got a goal difference of 0 – we're level.

"I've told the players not to be critical because their spirit is exactly what it's about.

"I can't fault our performance apart from some individual bits. I'm a coach and we've been going back and working on things again."
