Millwall midfielder moves to Crawley Town on 93-day loan

JOSH Wright has joined Crawley Town on loan.

NewsAtDen revealed earlier this month that the midfielder had been made available for a short-term transfer by manager Ian Holloway.

And with the emergency loan window opening today in the Football League, Wright has completed the formalities of a 93-day switch to the Broadfield Stadium.

The 24-year-old has made two appearances for the Lions so far this season.

Holloway can recall Wright after 28 days.

@NICKOLA: Crap comment, always on Danny's back. But if it wasn't for his performces we would never have played Wigan in the semi and when on form he can put strikers in his pocket. However you've probably never seen it as you don't go to many games by the way you are always putting down our players.

@Lincolnshire Lion: Sorry lincoln have to disagree, last year he came back grossly over weight, could not jump and blowing out of his backside,he was one of the reasons we got off to such a bad start, along with other players.so to say he has never let us down is wrong.

@Lincolnshire Lion: Nice mate. very nice. Your IQ must be nearly in double figures. I've followed Millwall since 1968 son. If I have the opinion that Shittu, Hoyte and Wright are a waste of space then I'm allowed to have it. Whether you agree or not is of no interest to me now following your juvenile drivel, but interestingly, it does seem that Ollie shares my opinion.

Good luck Josh! I have no doubt he can be a good player, but i don't think he can be a good CHAMPIONSHIP player and i'm sure that's why Holloway has loaned him out. Wish him all the best though, hopefully he can make a good name for himself in the lower leagues!

He might not of been up to it at this level but he always trained, kept his mouth shut and tried to fight for his place and at the end of the day he is a pro footballer. How many of you who slate him off can say that.

'WE PAY HIS WAGES SO WE HAVE A RIGHT TO COMMENT'
yes that is correct and the operative word is comment........not being abusive...
if only some of the people on here, who are abusive,

had one tenth of the talent that Josh Wright has
then maybe they could comment - and be taken seriously

but there is no need whatsoever to s*** off players just because you cannot string more than a few words together...

@eio: I think your comment on people not having his skills is a bit obvious, if we did, we'd be footballers. So, keeping the post relevant, the boy tried, but for whatever reason it didn't work for us. Happy he is moving on so ollie can concentrate on players he believes can do a job, rather than keep giving him yet another last chance

@eio: where am i slagging him off i am saying he aint good enough at this level, and i can string more than a few words together as my past post's have shown.
The trouble with people like yourself is you see thing's as you want to see them and not as they are.
The point is KJ,lomas and now IH gave him a fair crack of the whip and he has failed to take it.
IH in particular has given him his chance as he has with every one else.
Jack powell has grabbed his chance with both hands and got a well deserved standing ovasion ,josh wright has had many more chances and has not.
So please dont get personal with me when it is not warrented.
If you want div 1 or div 2 football then we keep wright, well i want at least championship football and at best premiership we aint gonna get it with wright in mid-field.
I am not slagging wright off just stating facts as i see them.

@jim1222: I was of the opinion that Wright would prove himself in Ollie's system but as you say, he really missed his chance in that first half against Rotherham. Powell took his chance and advanced beyond Wright in the pecking order. I do reckon that Wright has too much quality to be a League 1/2 player though, maybe he just needs a change of club.

Good luck to him - he's still young and IMO can still be a good player at higher levels... But to achieve this, he needs to be playing competitive 1st team football regularly - and gain that strength in fitness that is hard to replicate in training. Good signing for Crawley - and a good move for Josh and Millwall alike, considering how hard it will be for him to get a start when all of our midfield is fit again...

He's a neat & tidy player but without a penetrating 'killer' ball going forward. I wish him well.

With the youngsters like Jack and Fred coming good we have too many average midfielders so it makes sense to see some of them loaned out. Josh will be the first of many - we can't keep paying their wages if they are not going to be selected. I can't see when our "injured bald men" are going to get a game anytime soon

Apparently josh has come on leaps and bounds and has improved as a player so wouldn't discount him as a championship player just yet. Problem is players like jack Powell or Fred have also improved and seemingly improved greater. So good luck josh go get the game time u deserve come back fight for your place also we have so many decent midfielders now in bailey jimmy Williams upson our midfield is the hardest position in terms of competition I've ever seen in a Millwall team

@TONY BLOCK28: The problem is Tony we only remember the odd thing about him,he has had his chances but has not taken them,i am not knocking him im just saying he aint good enough at this level, but in all honesty can you EVER see him pushing any of our present mid-field out of the team.
It must be better all round if he moves on.

Best of luck Josh, great attitude and passer of the ball but never imposed himself and dominated games at this level and often went missing.

Will never forget that 35 yard cracker at Burnley though!
