RICHARD Chaplow and Justin Hoyte are set to make their first appearances of the new season against Southampton tonight.

Millwall manager Ian Holloway has confirmed his intention to make a number of changes to the starting XI following a 1-0 defeat by Rotherham United at the weekend.

Chaplow and Hoyte, who have not featured in the opening five games of the campaign due to injury, are expected to get much-needed minutes under their belts.

Jack Powell, Lee Gregory, Byron Webster, Matthew Briggs and John Marquis could also feature.

Nicky Bailey (calf) and Ed Upson (thigh) will miss out again.

Southampton signing Florin Gardos will make his debut for the club, while £12million summer arrival Shane Long could start.

But the Saints will be without Gaston Ramirez and Jay Rodriguez at The Den.

Praps Olly could ask Mr Koeman if he has any spare strikers in his academy we could get on loan. We have had some good ones in the past like Chris Wood, and the two blokes from Spurs, Harry Kane and Townsend. Worth a try he can only say no, and we do need a goal scorer. He could always text all the managers in the Premier league and ask the same question, as I say worth a try.

What happened to giving every player a clean slate this season under 'Ollie'? Chaplow and Hoyte deserve another chance and the critics can always give 'em a good coating if they fail to take it!

Hope he tries Gueye and Gregory from the off. I am sure those two could form a good partnership with Fuller/whoever in support. Nothing to lose, as soon as we are out of this mickey mouse distraction cup the better.
