MILLWALL have handed a trial to Ugandan international Martin Mutumba.
The skilful winger is a free agent after leaving Turkish Super Lig outfit Caykur Rizespor at the end of last season and he will now be given a chance to win a deal at The Den.
Mutumba is due to link up with the Lions at their training ground on Monday morning and could feature in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Aldershot this week.
The 29-year-old, who was raised in Sweden, spent less than six months in Turkey after a January move failed to work out.
Prior to joining Rizespor, Mutumba enjoyed a successful spell with AIK Stockholm, where he made 83 appearances in three seasons.
Speaking last summer, the attacked admitted he would relish a move to England.
"It has always been a dream of mine since I was young to play in England," Mutumba said.
"I have grown up watching English football in Sweden and I feel now the time is right to go and try and play in England.
"I almost joined Crystal Palace in 2008 but the move did not happen.
"If I moved to England it would be big news in Uganda because English football is the most popular over there."
Mutumba, who played for Sweden at U17 level but has since made six appearance for the Ugandan national side, is also a freestyle rapper.
