Preview: Millwall vs. Ipswich Town

SCOTT Malone returned to training this week after a rib injury and is expected to feature for Millwall against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Loan signing Ryan Fredericks trained with the Lions for the first time on Friday morning and could make his debut after joining from Tottenham.

Midfielder Liam Trotter, who made his comeback from a knee injury as a substitute against Huddersfield Town last weekend, is fully fit.

Striker Jermaine Easter is still suspended but both Paul Robinson (thigh) and Liam Feeney (hamstring) could return to the squad.

For Ipswich, Aaron Cresswell, Luke Chambers, Cole Skuse and Daryl Murphy have been passed fit, but Carlos Edwards and Tyrone Mings are doubts.

@Dazi: you're right we need a good crowd, can't expect our chairman to keep putting his hand in his pocket, need the numbers tomorrow. Can't see why not, Lomas is gone and everybody wanted Holloway 😉

@Mr_London: Exactly, Holloway seems to be doing and saying the right things. The board have granted our wish, so its now time for the fans to pick themselves and get down the den. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone's there tomorrow just to see Holloway haha.

@Strood Lion: Strood Lion thats a good call would be the biggest so far this season, dont know where they think we can get all these fans in the ground, the away stand is only the top half the east has 2 sections closed the west is similar, so as previously stated on this forum by others we would be full at around 15,000 with all the restrictions put on us by the directors the police and the FA.

@Barnlion: in my dreams the place will be full with 15000 and they have to turn them away.

Once that happens a couple of times, our chairman might dig even deeper and close in the corners between the east, south and west stands. If only!

It just shows ya, our fans aren't stupid. If we see money getting put into the club and are provided with decent performances then the fans will show up. But as we know that isn't always the case with Millwall. especially this season, for the first part we have been short changed.

    I welcome the revolution.

People don't get carried away, if it was only the loyal that turned up, as long as we get behind our wall that should be enough to get behind Olly and the fat people. Fans are important in olly's eyes, can't believe these players were aloud to get in this situation, £8000 to £15000 a week what a loud of p*** takers, get up for a couple of hours a day training, and a Saturday to play football for living, should be sent out on the hod, or labouring for a s*** company for a month £300 a week makes me sick, thank god for Olly or we would be in the Blue Square with Luton and s**** like that, makes me angry I know the people feel the same in the crowd. Good luck Olly get rid of the shirkers

@mewall62: Mate this has been exactly my point when I have seen groups of our players lounging with their feet up sipping on a hot beverage in a Bromley Starbucks (more than one occasion) but have been shot down for highlighting this as a negative thing... In my book people earning that sort of wedge and returning it with p*** poor failing performances shouldn't have the front to be seen in public relaxing like a retired house wife... Seems IH agrees!!!!

@grassgrower: Hi Grassgrower. If I recall you are coming from down under. Tickets for the home games shouldn't be a problem but for the QPR game away you might struggle. You will at least need a membership for each ticket you want and I would expect the tickets to be in demand so may not go beyond season ticket holders.

Don't want you to make such a long trip and be disappointed!

There's a total misconception about our fan base, most of which is based on the numbers at the Wembley games. At each Wembley appearance I bought 15 tickets for my extended family, and most of the people around had family you know that they can't get down to the Den. Wembley is the glory day out so the sisters, neices, aunts, nephews will come to see Millwall. Remember we've had three seasons including this one of a relegation scrap, so: 11.989 tomorrow. Be nice to be wrong though

@Eddie Grace: I'm going with 11,000 Millwall plus what Ipswich bring. The revolution has started but we haven't won under Holloway yet and we also need some new signings to boost the attendences. Millwall fans are no mugs and will wait and see after Portugal to see what has been done and who has come in. Who has gone out will put a few hundred on the gate also. My money is on Feeney. I remember two Russians being signed that no-one had heard of which put 3k on the gate following their signing. Imagine what we can get if we start playing good football and go on a roll.
Tomorrow-I don't think we'll lose. One point or three and then wait and see what the future brings.
Can someone please do some investigation and find out what has happened to Breaker and that Michelin man that masquaraded as our fitness coach. Ity's driving me crazy. I have found nothing about these Lomas appointments and someone always knows someone who knows something. Cheers.

I was at that game and had a season ticket long before they arrived the 2 worst signings we ever made I have lots of stories on how they ripped the club off shortly before we went into administration we signed after watching DVD of them and they could not trap a bag of cement apparently when they were kicked out they left the place they were staying in trashed and ran up massive phone bills back to Russia probably KGB spies

@kell: Yuran played 25 times for Russia and his club football was played at both Benfica and Porto where he won the leaguse with DBenfica nad also played in the European Cup ( fore runner of the Champions league) and also played for Bocum and Stuttgart in the Bundlesliga.

But even back then we signed a player who's best years were behind them, and if I remember correctly they were the highest paid players the club had ever had at that time.

tonytowneronthewing makes his way back to the Millwall line up for the first time this season. Me and the young un had been season ticket holders for years......went to Robbo's testemonial and missed the first couple of games under Lomas through holiday.
Have not been back since....couldn't take the pain. Not sure if I did the right thing deserting a sinking ship etc, but the pain was real, I could not even watch the highlights on TV. Forced myself to watch the Boro game wish I hadn't.
Hope that me and the boys absence in some little way swelled the non attendance figures that eventually made the board do the right thing.

Looking forward to today....4th bottom this season equals success, and hope Holloway works some magic over the next two seasons

Playing Keough, Morison and McDonald...Keough in midfield??...not much pace in that team, unless the kid Fredericks can provide it down one flank.

Glad to report a much better display in first half, lucky goal but we're passing it and look tricky and threatening up front with Morrison McDonald and keogh, looks solid at back, hope the second half is same .

    12,125....my guestimate out by 136.

Not a bad crowd for a side that@s let in 50 goals. Power to Hollers.

Someone, who was at the game, give me a critical assessment please
