Preview: Blackburn Rovers vs. Millwall

MILLWALL boss Steve Lomas is unlikely to make any changes to his side for this Saturday's clash with Blackburn Rovers.

Lomas is expected to name the same starting line up for the second match running after the Lions beat Wigan 2-1 at The Den last weekend.

Jermaine Easter staked a claim for a place in the side when he scored after coming off the bench, but Martyn Waghorn is set to be given the nod up front in the final game of his loan.

Nicky Bailey (knee), Richard Chaplow (groin) and Lee Martin (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Blackburn have given striker DJ Campbell time off after he was arrested on Monday as part of an investigation into spot-fixing.

Todd Kane is back from suspension but Paul Robinson (back), Dickson Etuhu and Corry Evans (both ankle) are definitely out.

  1. I would have made 1 change, bring in Easter to replace Waghorn as he is our most natural goalscorer this season.... in fact he has scored more goals coming off the bench than MacDonald/Waghorn has when they have started games!!

Right - starting here lets make the oppo work for their goals - if its s**** referreing or the goal of the season fine I can take that, but lets defend corners and dead Balls properly, close down these runners outside the box and stop them getting shots off and lets put the foot in in midfield. As for us, lets make that pitch our own and play the game at our tempo and let them know who we are - MILLWALL!! Come on you Lions!!

I'm definitely with the Easter contingent but Lomas is is looking to the future and trying to secure Waghorn. I'm torn on this one because I believe Easter should start but we need Waggers long term. He's young fresh and hungry. What about a Waghorn and Easter duo as both have points to prove... That's harsh on Morro after 2 good games though. Hard decision..... So let's support with whatever Lomas goes with

  6. I think away from home , Easter is a better option alongside Morison. He's probably our quickest player and could run onto a hopeful punt forward down the middle or latch onto something slung in the box early from the channels. He gives us an option that Waghorn doesn't I feel.

  7. Irrespective of today's line up (either side, that is) get your money on a draw. Just saying owing to the old law of probability thing i.e. it's simply about time. Would rather a sneaky 3pts instead tho! COYL's!

  8. Easter looks good when coming on as sub only because the oppositions defence is tied due to the fact morro & waggers have run then ragged. So if it aim broken don't fix it. COME ON U WALL!!!!!!

  9. YEP !!! EASTER DOES LOOK GOOD, BUT HE CAN ONLY LAST 20MINS, SO THATS THE
REASON HE COMES ON AT THE END.
BEST PLACE FOR HIM, COMING ON LATE / FRESH AS A DAISY
    AND SCORING !!!!
