STEVE Lomas wants his side to build up a head of steam heading into the hectic Christmas period - starting with a positive result against Blackburn Rovers.
The Lions' trip to Ewood Park on Saturday starts a run of five games in 18 days.
So after picking up four points at The Den last week, Lomas has challenged his side to rectify their away form.
"The games come thick and fast now and this is the perfect time of year to find some form, because you can pick up points very quickly," he said.
"It is important that we match recent performance and energy levels on Saturday because I felt we worked harder than Nottingham Forest and Wigan in our last two games.
"We have put in a couple of decent performances and now we really need to build some momentum going into the Christmas period. The challenge for the boys is to reproduce our home form on the road."
Key to stopping Blackburn will be keeping top scorer Jordan Rhodes quiet.
"Those goalscorers are massively hard to find," Lomas added. "If you look at last season, Crystal Palace got promoted because they had Glenn Murray in their team.
"Blackburn are not a one-man team but Rhodes is a massive player for them. Without his goals last season they could well have been relegated."
