Millwall allow defender Osborne to make Bristol City switch

KARLEIGH Osborne is joining Bristol City on a 28-day emergency loan.

The 25-year-old has made just one appearance for the Lions this season, in the 5-2 defeat to Bournemouth, and has now been given the chance to play first-team football.

The Robins are rooted to the bottom of League One having conceded 26 goals in 13 matches, so Osborne will be tasked with tightening up their leaky defence.

Osborne tweeted: "Looking forward to hopefully getting some game time @bcfctweets."

That's a good move for him. 1st team football at a competitive standard. It seems a good move for everyone concerned.

@millwallhazza98: Not really, Shittu is starting to play well as he did against Reading and QPR

I don't think Osborne is championship material, so better to have Lowry at CB if you want Shittu out.

Osborne now off the payroll, is going to get 1st team experience and in any case he isn't anyones replacement at centre half at Millwall at the moment.
Shittu and Robinson until Beevers is fit, like it or not. Lomas isn't likely to put Lowry in there as he obviously doesn't think that will work and a game vs. Burnley is not the time to start experimenting.

Surely another win-win situation, he can either come back a more experienced player with games under his belt or impress elsewhere and sign permanently for another club.

    good luck Karl.

good move we don't need him and he needs games we could do with a bit of dollar , i also think it would be good to let him go on a permanent basis it makes perfect sense and we need the bees honey for waghorn in january coz that is a player that we desperately need imho.

Let's make sure we give stansillyspaz a fu@"ing hard time. Why? His goal celebration when he played for west spam, you know the one it's were the spammers had to keep on invading the pitch in order to win

This makes perfect sense. Lowry would be next choice at CB. Osbourne was only ever brought in by Jackett as a back-up player. I actually think he is a decent player, but he isn't going to get a look in with us, so a loan saves us some cash.
